Imagine how it must have felt essentially being let go from the show. He learned that he was the killer while shooting episode 7 and he's written out in episode 9. I'm grateful that he came back for future guest appearances and the movie.

Given the way he talks about almost quitting rather than going through with being Laura's killer, I'm amazed Lynch was able to get him to come back and play Leland again in Fire Walk With Me, where he's psycho-Leland all along and we see him actually murdering Laura.

Its honestly really smart for him to not tell ray he was the killer because leeland didnt know he was the killer! I imagine it would be much harder for ray to get into charecter if he knew from the start it was leeland.

that show got me really emotional, well I don't think I ever cried but I mean I was really emotionally invested in a character or characters more than shows with 8 seasons...and the lead girl or focus of the show was dead the entire time, I mean it's a show where the entire series the character is dead yet her character develops the entire time and makes you emotionally attached, it's really something, I can understand why he got emotional, this can happen to anyone at any time, a life with such meaning and potential and influence just blinks out of existence, it happens every single day

The possession of this man was pretty much the reason I didn’t sleep well as a child. BOB was, if I remember correctly, only in the show for a combined total of a little over 6 mins, and even when “it is happening again” happened, and knowing that was the night of the reveal…. Still, to this day, that murder is right at the top of my list of scariest moments on tv for me. Rounding out the top 3 are two other sequences from the same season “Ronette’s Dream” and “The BOB couch crawl”… “Nightmare Fuel” is both the best description of the scenes and a true understatement. I’d say Maddie’s murder could only be overtaken by the couch crawl….Damn, I guess I didn’t need to sleep tonight 🤦🏻‍♂️. Thank you for the post, and be well everyone. I’ll see you in 25 years…

Laura reaching her arms out sounds like direction Lynch gave Ray Wise. He does that a lot apparently: giving actors direction which is meant to enhance their understanding of the emotions in the scene rather than what the scene really is itself.
