beautiful lens, but i can't believe canon cheaped out and put it in a soft case instead of the quality hard case like the others.... hope you can buy the hard case from canon..unbelievable!
@@specops1903 that doesn't make it okay, though, does it? At least it's a _Version III_ lens, because Canon CPS themselves will tell you, like they told me, that the 600mm f/4L IS was _not_ a good lens!
@@thepanel2935 the version 3 is 12k lens... it's more than good it's phenomenal don't try to cut it short. Just because it's not your cup of tea doesn't mean someone else somewhere else won't enjoy it. Things don't revolve around you, miss. The sooner you figure that out the better life will be for those around you.
i so envy you sir but happy that you own that beast... That pure white beast.... i know how much of that lens would have meant to you.. Its a dream lens for me and hope one day i get it too.. the way i see it in my life it relatively appears to be a very distant dream :(
Wight between V1 and V2 is HUGE. weight between V2 and V3 isnt nearly as much in terms of actual weight. Also the V2 is so much sharper it's not even funny. I'd spend more on a duplicate V2 if they still make it. Can't believe Canon did this to shave a few pounds. No one uses heavy lenses like this for the connivence, they do it for the image quality. And if your going to make that IQ so significantly worse, than i truly don't understand the point. Also the IS is flawed in the Version III. It doesnt work between up until 1/250th of a second in the up down direction.
