Genesis 9:24 24 "And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him." Ham had "done" something to his father, that caused God to curse his descendants. God could not curse Ham, because cause he had already receive the blessing of God (Genesis 9:1), so he curses his descendants, beginning with Canaan. And why would you believe "that which is spiritual" would have to "hover" in anything? You are trying to make that which is spiritual, connect with that which is physical. Not during the dispensation of grace, God does make the spiritual, reside in the physical, for the purpose of "replenishing the earth" with spiritual beings who have the ability to reproduce other physical beings, who the Holy Spirit can reside in. But especially in Genesis 1:2 (which in Syrian text reads as such): Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. The Spirit of God did not "hover over" anything. It "moved upon the face of the waters," because the Spirit of God (the 3rd person of the GODHEAD), was active in creation, as He was active in the lives of those who penned the scriptures to inspire them to write what they wrote.

Also consider the strange wheeled creatures mentioned in Ezekiel 1, are they Spiritual only? is New Jerusalem Spiritual only? perhaps being Spiritual only is good, since does not the Spiritual 'transcend' the physical?
I think this is false doctrine and tradition think of all the billions of people that receive the word in different languages that are all different translations I prefer the King James but if some one doesn't have the command of English that I do they shouldn't be expected to learn a foreign dialect that is antiquated and Euro Centric just to recieve the Gospel. Anymore than we should have to learn Greek or the Greeks learn Aramaic or Hebrew. It's a living word and the spirit does the convicting and transforming not the print. Before there was a printed published Bible there was a church and it will remain after. We are called to keep the word in our heart. So I disagree with this sermon. I think it's inhibiting the spread of the good news of Jesus Christ on technicalities rhetoric and tradition.

We must have the word of God in our head and in our hearts and take it with us wherever we go without his wisdom knowledge and Truth the Bible says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Good point at 14:05, I would also add that Israel was chaste (Jer 2:2) but then clearly became an adulterous wife (not a virtuous one) As God speaks to Israel in Jer 2:9 and all over in Jer:3. God loves Israel very much and will use his sovereignty to restore the brokenness that exists.

Erica, I am sorry that this was not addressed in a timely manner. A common belief is that there is a "second" baptism that must take place, and the term that is used for this is the baptism of the holy spirit. The truth is that every man born to this earth, is born void of the Holy Spirit of God. This, because when Adam sinned in the Garden, he caused both spiritual and physical death, and in accordance with Romans 5:12, that spiritual and physical death was passed on to you and me. Every man born to this earth was born with a "conscience" which is not holy. This is the reason that Jesus told Nicademus in John 3, "ye must be born again." Why? Because we were all born "dead in our trespasses and sins," and the NEW birth is when you are "born of the Spirit." Jesus said in Romans 8:9 - "Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." At the moment of conversion, every believer according to Ephesians 2:1 has to be "quickened" or made alive, by the Spirit, because before we received Him, we were "dead in trespasses and sins." So the teaching that there is a second filling of the Holy Spirit, would violate these verses. If you are saved, at the moment of Salvation, the person of the Holy Spirit came and took up permanent residence inside of you. You got ALL of Him at that moment, although you must grow in your knowledge of who He is. Please forgive me for not answering you earlier, I did not see your question.
Erica, Calvinism is a teaching that was made famous by a gentlemen named "John Calvin," which has its primary teaching that is centered in the fact that certain people are "predestined" to be saved and only those people can be saved. Any others cannot be saved, regardless to any other condition. There are 5 points to Calvinism - (TULIP) T - Total Depravity U - Unconditional Election L- Limited Atonement I - Irresistible Grace P- Perseverance of the Saints.
