This channel is dedicated to exploring all things Outdoorsy from Wild Camping, Backpacking and Bivying to Survival Skills, Fishing and Archery. I will be adding videos from all over Scotland and hopefully from further afield soon! Please stay tuned by hitting the subscribe button on any one of my videos.
My biggest influences in bushcraft have got to be Joe Robinet, MCQBushcraft and The Bearded Woodsman among many others. I really admire what these guys do and they are what got me into this lifestyle in the first place.
I'm open to suggestions and love trying new things, so if you have any ideas of videos you want me to make, just hit me up.
Unfortunately, no. But that's because I've put on some weight and exceeded the recommended limit! It failed on the second night of a trip when I reached up to my ridge line to turn off my lamp, ripped in two. So I actually bought another and am planning to use it again once I can! ☺️ The tarp is still in great condition and that's been used and abused.
@@bushcraftscotland9744 Thank you very much for the answer! I've watched alot of reviews on this superlight hammock and still have hard time making up my mind. There are quite a few that didn't lasted very long after the initial review according to their owners. It seems pretty fragile, but there are no real alternatives in Europe.🤨
@@abc-iq9fk NapSack Hammocks do a good alternative, about as light and a bit stronger. They post to Europe as well I believe. Check them out on Facebook.
Not as well as I think some can in other hammocks. It's quite narrow but if you've got quite a tight fitting Underquilt that comes right up the side it's actually really comfy.
@@bushcraftscotland9744 Thanks man! I am 5'3 so I hope I can sleep at an angle better than most people. Any suggestions on a specific budget underquilt?
Nice video mate but for your little seat I'd have just lashed the logs into one so it was like a tree stump with a large flat area to sit on comfortably Take care mate hope you have a great weekend Roo
Prepared Camping I definitely would have done that, but the were cut at quite a sharp angle so would have been rather uncomfortable. I ended up adding a second log across the top to make it more comfy, but didn't film it. You can see it later in the video.
BushcraftScotland yeah I did notice and I assumed you cut the larger ones at that angle to lock in the cross log But I'm a bit lazy so would've cut them at 90° to make the stump effect 😉 Enjoy what's left of the weekend brother Roo
Wild garlic grows in abundance near where I have an allotment in Perth. I find that its pretty much done by the end of July, but this weather hasn't helped. I managed to gather a few seeds so going to try and grow it on the plot. Cracking video mate
