For information: It is forbidden to fly a drone in Norwegian national parks and landscape conservation areas. Trollheimen is a landscape conservation area, so using a drone on this tour was illegal. Fines of NOK 12,000 are common, as well as confiscation of the drone.
great video. I am thinking of entering this year and trying to judge what time I would likely do. i.e. how close to cut-off I would be. What time approx did you complete it in?
I didn't finish in time, I went over the 9 hour limit! The second ascent was a bit more challenging than anticipated, and I lost too much time filming this. But it is very nice challenge, depending ofcourse what you prefer. This was my first 'skyrunning', so lot's of unrunnable terrain, so keep that in mind.
This was my second big mountain run and I was very happy with my poles. It really helps balancing and also for the slippery parts very useful. The first big mountain run I didn't have poles and it was OK, but I suggest to use hiking poles. Especially the foldable ones, so you can also run without.
