I subbed up just in case you go down the rabbit hole!! {It's A LOT} lol If you do...Middle Man.Watts,Bipolar...there are SOOO many!!!
i have watched so many interwievs of who we see as heroes, from many countrys, and from seveal wars, i dont think i have seen even one of them that see themselves as heroes, be it resistansfighters in ww2, or medal of honor recepiants, ot victoria cross winners. i dont think real heroes ever see themselves as heroes.
101AB- 10-11 Just starting to come across vet reacts to the five finger death punch videos. I listen to them over the years but tended to steer clear of the videos. I am getting help though the VA. It has taken a long time. Thankfully never experienced a Roadside IED... but that garage scene hit a little to close to home...took a while but I do think I am doing better. Sometimes its just about taking it a day at a time. Keep at it man. God Bless.
I never realised that "I brought home that flag" could have refered to her white flag. I always assumed it was his American flag, with it being an anti military/war song. I have loved this song since it came out and never thought that the flag he took home was hers. Thank you for this perspective.
My father was a fighter pilot in World War II, and he filled me with patriotism for our country. He took me in to sign up for the draft, and I wish I would have served. I'm so proud of our military and all those who serve, and God bless each and every one of you!!
This song & video gets me every time. I lost my younger brother 01/26/15 to suicide. He'd spent 5 years in the Army & deployed twice. He was out barely 6 months when I got the call from the police saying he was gone, forever 25. He'd spent the day before at my house with myself, my son/his nephew, and my now ex-husband (who was a Marine Corps veteran himself who's still dealing with PTSD & survivors guilt). The guilt we both still feel not seeing the signs is still something we struggle with. My ex deployed to Iraq from 2006 to 2007 when we were 20, married less than 6 months. It took years for him to open up about even a little bit of what he experienced. But he also said they were there to protect the poppy fields for heroin more than for an actual war, and many died for no reason. Which made the innocent lives lost on both sides even harder & heavier. #22TooMany
Side note after hearing your commentary...Both my brother & ex had/has a hard time with people who thanked them as well. It was always thanks for your service, then the worst question (people PLEASE take note..DO NOT ASK THIS) of all.."so did you kill anyone?" This song hits me hard despite not being in the military/or veteran because I've loved 2 people who came back traumatized & lost one because of it. And while I know they'd do it all over again, neither we're the same after coming back. None of my military veteran friends were. And it breaks me heart.
I don't know if you have done more coast contra? Just subscribed In case you haven't. Do more. Your head will always hurt. Yet, your heart will always feel worth it.✊🏿😎
Just found the reaction for this and I love the depth that you went into it with man. Definiteely check out more of their songs, a lot of them are really thought provoking and emotional, a lot are just "Im pissed, lets break shit and make it better" songs. I here's a quick list of recommendations: Emotional- Septembers children, Swing Life Away, Tragedy + Time High-energy - Prayer of the Refugee, The Violence, Reeducation through labor A little something different - The Approaching Curve (I really like this one)
The lyrics to this beautiful and haunting song is about an abusive father-son relationship, specifically Kirk's relationship with his father. Listen to the words again with this in mind.
What a perfect song for you and your little boy to share. I am most certain that it will help both of you appreciate your relationship throughout the rest of your lives.
Jake Gyllenhall’s current girlfriend in 2024 is 28 yrs old while he is 43. That a 15 yr age difference. Proves Taylor’s point that while she gets older, she is now 34, his gfs stay the same age or younger.
Congratulations,Jimmy. I hope to see you play us ASAP!👏😁. UGA, home of THE Bulldogs, where my husband and I met in ‘85 & married 3 years later. Where our oldest and youngest also graduated. Now that our nemesis, Sa(t)an has retired from ‘Bama, 🤞we’ll have a chance at bringing home another championship (if Kirby Smart can get his team under control and find a way to curb their current enthusiasm for bringing home DUIs and drag racing citations😑). If you can’t tell from this, I’m a huge college football fan. I’ll certainly be paying more attention to Miami, OH👍
@@JimmyGamesOfficial when Urban Meyer was there, I LOATHED OSU. He was at University of FL before that and we’re not fond of gators in Athens GA. (I just looked up info on your team and see that’s where you are, Athens, OH. I’ve ALWAYS preferred Athens (GA) to Miami😁)
Lost 3 of my friends to IEDs, seen 2 of them; they were remotely detonated. I remember like yesterday it happened: the smell, sounds, and pure carnage. Saturday just passed was my buddy's birthday. How I miss them all still so much. I guess I was a lucky one, as people tell me to be only wounded doesn't feel it.
I’m sure someone has requested it already, but ‘Dear John’, ‘Story of Us’, and ‘Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve’ are all about John Mayer, who she dated when she was 19 and he was 32. The first two are from shortly after they broke up. The last one is from her perspective when she finally reached the age he was when they dated, and speaks on how it still affects her today.
He’s such an amazing guy. He turned his own life with drugs around and now is working to fight the opioid epidemic in the US. He spoke to Congress. He’s also just a super humble guy. Love Jelly.
I am glad there are all these organizations out there but it is a real shame and a reflection on us that we need some many. The government needs to step up and do what is right
