Love what you are doing brining to light the little secrets that people try to keep hidden that hold the sport back! Good job keep it up. Question: who is a big time sports doctor that riders use for knee issues. I broke the attachment points off in my knee for my acl and pcl. Local doctors in peoria Illinois say it’s rear no one has ever done that repair and I need to get in contact with a doctor who maybe has seen it and if it’s any one it would be a moto doctor. I crashed to dirt on my Harley thank goodness I road dirt bikes as a kid! Thanks!

In the USA, a nonprofit organization must follow several specific rules and guidelines, including: 1. Board of Directors: Nonprofits must have a governing body, typically called a Board of Directors, that oversees the organization's activities. The board is responsible for the organization's management, governance, and ensuring it meets its legal and financial obligations. 2. Voting for Directors: Board members are usually elected through a formal voting process. In some cases, members of the organization or the current board itself may vote to elect or appoint new directors. The bylaws of the nonprofit outline the exact process for these elections. 3. Bylaws: Nonprofits must have bylaws, which are internal rules that outline how the organization will be governed. Bylaws typically specify the election process for directors, how meetings are conducted, and other operational procedures. 4. No Personal Profit: Nonprofit organizations cannot distribute profits to board members, officers, or other individuals. All revenue must be used to further the nonprofit’s mission and goals. 5. Tax-Exempt Status: Most nonprofits seek 501(c)(3) status with the IRS to be exempt from federal income taxes. This status also allows donors to claim tax deductions on their contributions. 6. Annual Meetings: Most nonprofits are required to hold at least one annual meeting for their board of directors, and often for members if the nonprofit has a membership structure. 7. Reporting: Nonprofits are required to file annual reports with the IRS (Form 990) and with state agencies, depending on local laws, to maintain their tax-exempt status. These rules ensure the nonprofit operates transparently and remains focused on its charitable purpose rather than individual gain. SO... let's start a new "sanctioning body".... ---> In theory, anyone can start a new NPA to sanction the sport in their area. There is no legal restriction preventing someone from forming a new body and sanctioning events. However, there are several practical challenges: 1. Gaining Recognition: For a new body to succeed, it must convince athletes, teams, sponsors, and venues to recognize its authority and follow its rules. This can be difficult if there is already an established, trusted organization. 2. Competing Against Established Bodies: If there is already a dominant sanctioning body, it may be challenging to get participants to switch, especially if the current body provides important benefits like insurance, resources, or international recognition. * AMA does not seem to provide insurance, resources or international recognition. Full insurance for all "AMA licensed" riders at a sanctioned event for start, and funding the MXON would be good too. 3. Affiliation with Larger Governing Bodies: In many sports, the national governing body is affiliated with an international organization. Without that affiliation, a new NPA may lack credibility and the ability to offer athletes opportunities to compete at higher levels (like world championships or the Olympics). ** AMA hates FIM... so no problem there! LOL 4. Insurance and Safety Requirements: Established sanctioning bodies often provide insurance for events and participants, which new organizations would need to arrange. Without reliable insurance, it could be hard to attract athletes or venues to a new NPA’s events. *** Seems like AMA doesn't NOT do this! Conclusion: While no legal monopoly prevents someone from starting a new sanctioning body, the authority of existing bodies comes from recognition, history, and practical agreements within the sport’s ecosystem. A new body could technically be created, but it would face significant challenges in gaining traction against established organizations.

Taken from another comment sections thought you'd find it interesting cooksey I got into this sport and raced later starting in 1976, (back when a kid with a part time job could afford a bike). I have studied the decline of the sport over the last few decades, and have come to some solid conclusions that others have not, because they have not studied like I have. There are 3 major happenings that has pushed the sport into decline, and now into danger. All are unwarranted interventions into the industry. #1) It was the FIM in 1986 that put together the 1986 production rule, (and Yamaha the manufacturing spear head for that movement, claiming they could not afford to make works bikes.). The AMA is "an arm" of the FIM. The AMA is not a separate entity and are subservient to the FIM. That move happened With FIM scorn because we had won the MX Des nations since 1981, and it had to be stopped. All that rule did was 2 things that hurt the sport. 1, It stopped factory development in the USA (Europe to gain tech advantage), and all of them, even Yamaha makes works bikes for Europe to this day. 2, It tripled the cost of a bike in just over 5 years. By by kids buying your own bikes. Market share started dropping. #2) The 2001 promoters scandal, when the AMA/Clear Channel contract ran out, the AMA fraudulently picked a rock promoter, Jam Sports, to cover SX/MX and do it live for the first time. Clear Channel retaliated by teaming up with the FIM, (Now the FIM directs our racing), as competition for Jam sports and the AMA. Clear Channel then illegally tied up the venues, so Jam Sport could not have races at the venue. Jam Sports later won a law suit against those actions, but the criminals took over the sport. #3) We have a big problem with a dictatorship called the EPA now, and they, a outside government force, forced the manufactures to put the road race technology 4-stroke engine in their MX bikes,---to save the planet, right. (China has no EPA regulations kids and they could have been written in the trade agreements over the last 45 years. It is not about the planet, It is about advancing communism). The 4-stroke forced on the industry (Yamaha being the manufacturing spear head for the movement again,--but let to be the last Jap manufacture to still make 125.250 2-strokes. Sneaky), also cause the bike to over double in price again, with a very small market share that can't even fill up a MXGP starting gate, that the FIM runs. Final conclusion, the EPA force could not have happened if the 4-stroke did not actually work better, (but cost reduces market share more). The smother power and wide range they have made a MX bike much easier to ride, and the EPA wanted the 4-stroke to be faster than the 2-stroke, so people who want to win or do well would have to switch, (which took 8 years to switch our gates totally). So the bikes are faster, that makes the tracks faster. Injuries are through the roof, and even deaths of the local tracks have increased. "60 Minutes" took out the 3-wheeler because of injuries back in the 80's. It is the EPA that had no right to tell the industry what to make and us to buy, as they use force. Not a good business agreement, but a dictatorship. The EPA is at fault for the price of the bike, increased injuries and death, and a dying sport of greatness. I won't get into the electric bike force. That is a long story too. I studied it well folks. This is what happened in reality. This is what is killing this great sport. Doug in Michigan

Speaking of the MXDN. I think Yamaha should replace Webb with Deegan because Deegan is a BEAST on a 250 , he's vertually unbeatable and thats what the US team needs to win the MXDN. Webb is a fast rider but he hasnt shown the winning prowess he had last year. Deegan is a sure thing to win and thats what we need going up against the fast europeans.

Ok. So I've watched this channel for a while to see where you stand and try to understand what your trying to achieve and I've come to this conclusion. JMO so don't get but hurt. You have the classic little man syndrome. Brought on by the fact you were besmirched by race promoters kicking you out of their events for not letting you have access to areas you thought you should have the right to. Again, just my understanding of your argument. So now you're going Nuclear on the Promoter group and everyone else involved to soothe your damaged ego. I would suggest a different approach. Get involved with these groups in a productive manner to discuss ways in which you could help facilitate changes to policies that would alleviate trouble for independent journalists getting access to certain areas at events. Nuclear bombing everyone on social media is not the way. No offense intended.

The AMA is an example of capitalism out of control...what I like to call mad dog capitalism. Small and medium-sized businesses are mostly very honest. But when these big organizations grow to such immense size, they have a tendency to "do little but demand much" (money). The AMA is a prime example of mad dog capitalism...yeah...non-profit, my ass!

Send the FBI and the IRS to THEIR door. Yes, I have known for years of the ineptitude or fraud of the a m a. That is, I paid my dues for something like thirty five years and all I ever saw was the continual loss of riding areas. And with the grinding of my teeth, I would pay the yearly dues to the A.MA just so my points would count on some AMA district or another. I always felt that the district can keep its own tally of points and I often wondered why in the hell do I need to pay money to the AMA... a non-functional money grubbing organization that is quite frankly like our federal government that does nothing but promote wars, and when a Republican President is in office give a trillion to the super wealthy for no g****** reason at all. After a while citizens get sick and tired of this crap and i'm one of them. I hope you NAIL these bastards.

It looked like the riders came to make money and not RACE. remember the reason we got into moto in the first place, to race and beat the best rider, and it dont hurt to put a bragger in 2nd place Oh how i miss how upset RC would get when he lost, or that fire you could clearly see in James eyes, that is until THEE GOAT retired keep doing what your doing i actually wrote a diff post complaining yur gonna turn the last great sport (MOTO CROSS) into another NFL. We had a similar situation in the '80's in South Africa. (Remember, South Africa has produced a fair share of World Champions both in Circuit Racing as well as in Off-road). We has Motorsport SA - abbreviated as MSA. If a rider participated in any non MSA event, even a "Fun Event" where there weren't any points or prizes, that rider could loose his/her MSA license. So, that meant that only MSA events were allowed and any other event would be "banned" as all the decent (MSA licenced riders) wouldn't dare attend.... The nett effect, was that the sport became stiffled and only riders who didn't care for full competition would attend "Fun" or "Charity" events...
