This is not for the mainstream metal crowd. This channel is for those people with an open mind that like to find new and/or little-known bands.
I started this channel in December 2017 in the hope of bringing common sense opinions to the ‘reaction’ community. Whether I have succeeded is for you to decide. I play the drums, too many computer games and have reviewed a lot of metal for the press in the past and very occasionally the present. Hedgy (December 2023)
Unbelievable we only found your video now! Thank you so much for your kind words! Btw, you should check out our new stuff. We have a new album with 3 Music Videos from our home in cold cold Finland!
To my shame, this is my first time hearing Winterfylleth on record. But I've seen them live a couple of times (at Bloodstock & supporting Anaal Nathrakh in Birmingham) and their live shows are just as awesome as this. Really love that sort of cycling guitar that this sort of black metal has, adds to that feeling of relentlessness (I think you're actually pronouncing it correct as well)
That is incredible black metal. That nonstop fast guitar strum, great drumbeat, classic vocals. Nice dark vibe. Fittingly, September 13 is Friday the 13th. Top banana....
Absolutely great stuff! This is really headphone music to listen to with closed eyes. Manchester disunited and nevertheless a master. (Sorry für this dead joke)
really beautiful I've become enamored with clean female vocals in metal, shout out to Pete Worrall and The Spectre Beneath. Inventive writing and that drum line was great. I've been spending quite a bit on Bandcamp lately, here goes more.
Eastern vibe, always good. Now this is complete musicianship. The way they built up in the middle of the song <33. Her voice is very nice. One of a kind. That's what I like.
I saw that track several weeks ago and I thought it was awesome, fast, uncompromising, great fun, musicians with great chops but was disappointed the album was not out for a while so I inadvertently forgot about them Thank you for the reminder, I'll go and hunt it down.
Long time no listen (used to comment here under the name Jeff, been meaning to catch up on the old videos for a while now), had to hop in here when I saw you were listening to Fellowship, I came across that album last year and it quickly became my most listened album of the year. It's just good, clean power metal done right, bouncing along with fun melodies you end up humming to yourself long after the music has stopped. This particular song starts the album and, honestly, is sort of middling for the album in my opinion, Oak And Ash and Glint are two of my favorites and also speak to each other in their lyrics (the former asks "Will I be worthy?" and later in the album the latter answers back with a resounding "I've always been worthy", gives me chills). Good to hear from Paz that they're just as great live, fingers crossed that they'll be successful enough to do some US touring eventually.
You will love Tiamat if you don't know them! Listen to the albums "Clouds" and then "Wildhoney". Wildhoney is easily one of the best albums of the '90s
Hi mate I know many reaction channels what a waste of time,. One in particular definitely has mental health problems. He makes 8 videos on a Sunday and can't discuss because if disagree well. And this guys you going to love this. He can't do female singers, harsh vocals etc and fast songs that's a good start- not Keep up the good work
As you say this has been unblocked now.... Releasing this song (and Qwerty from the previous album) brought the spark back for me. The spectacle isn't just limited to their videos. Their live gigs are very much a show in their own right with theatrics and water drums. They've got 2 dates in UK next month, Birmingham and London (no good for you but great for me)
Ahh the bands of my teenage years. Apologies for being that guy but I have kinda drifted away from them with recent releases. There was one album they did that I just found really boring (beautiful stories for ugly children) and I fell out of love with them. They'd always had that mix of industrial (or to an extent nu-metal) stylings with melodic bits, but it started feeling like the two sides didn't belong together anymore at that point. Their latest albums were better, more of a return to form, but not quite that same feeling
@markblaauw4961 I was around when two tone, ska etc arrived. I liked the Madness songs on the radio but didn't buy their records. Early eighties pop was great.
@PNW Nice. I've got six of their albums. They were my first love where it comes to music. After that I discovered something called hardrock😁 The rest is history... Just this holliday I had thought of Madness after a long period of time and I decided to download some of their stuff again to enjoy during the long ride to Croatia. It was worth it. For now it's metal and ska in my head.
I want my LP's back 😅. "But that's not important right now".. On topic: (which topic?) The song is just great. The galloping in the riffs, the Queenlike harmonies in the vocals. Theatrical and overwhelming. Cheers and have a great weekend 🍺
Their first 2 albums and their 4th album are absolutely incredible. I highly recommend the tracks "Bwomp" and "Ego Trip" for high-energy groovy fun with great flow. The synthesizer is great in Bwomp. As for their new stuff, it's decent. 🤘
When talking about Behemoth you need to understand that almost all of it is directly aimed at the catholic church. Nergal (Adam Darski, the singer) is a satanist, but he treats Satan as metaphor for a rebel, to deny anything above this life. Everything is about exalting the human being and self improvement, self empowerment.
