The key to making successful youtube videos is staying on topic. There is nothing that annoys people mor ethan searching for a video about a specific topic, just to start watching someone talk about something not in the title of the video. Especially when the person making the video appears more interested in showing his razors than staying on topic. So, as you appear to be a failed youtuber, with low views, it helps learning from your mistakes. Stay the fack on topic you stewpid morhon fack.
The Henson Shaver can sometimes appear to be not as close as some razors because it only cuts the hair of your beard at only skin level not cutting the hair of the beard below the skin line. What results though is a shave devoid of skin rash. Additionally in the future you will not have to be contending with damage caused by ingrown hairs. The results you get from a Henson shaver is a close more than acceptable well shaved beard while leaving your face with good healthy skin.
Stumbled upon this as I didn't realise you had returned to a live performance! Great shave and really enjoying your MSC products. More importantly, great to see you looking so fit and well Dave!
Great lather even with four swirls! Vintage Lapidus is my favorite from Fernando! You’re right on the Leaf for a head shave…it’s my go-to above any other.
I’m in my 70’s, used a safety razor up until my 20’s. Then switched to disposable I’m ashamed to say. I recently bought a Henson, medium. Extremely happy with it, no burn, no cuts, smooth as a baby’s bum ! Btw it’s made in Canada not the USA ! Good video otherwise !
I find Gillette Fusion to give me the fastest clean shave. I want to like other razors, but I feel like they take too long and there is a higher risk of nicks with them.
You've done a great shave with a mild, Dave. Many RU-vidrs dont get a close shave with the mild version. You must have your technique down pat, inc. the unctuous lather. Cheers!
I just bought some msc from your shop - great stuff. Will be getting some more soon when I got the 💵. Import to Denmark is expensive 🙈 great shave! 😁 👍
Nice shave! I recently tried the Henson RK blade in my AL13 Medium and have a very nice shave. It's kind of hard to have a bad shave with a Henson so I can't say that the RK blade makes a huge difference. I can see why they would want to work with a blade manufacturer to have an official blade however. Thanks for the video!
I always enjoy seeing someone use a Twig. It was my first new razor when I started with wet shaving and it has never failed to give me a great shave. I think it's the combination of the very small and maneuverable head set at a natural angle and the large handle. As you showed, it is very good for cleaning up around facial hair because it is so agile. I hope you enjoy yours for many years to come. Thanks for sharing your shave. Have a great day!
The Twig is an excellent razor, as is its sister the Thorn. Either would make a very good daily driver. I wouldn’t use the Leaf blades, though. Astra SP green blades work very well in these two razors for me.
One type of shaving brushes that are good, if you are concerned about animals being killed for it, is horse hair. They need a hair cut anyways. Or synthetic from e.g. Mühle since they make it in-house. I guess for you the Brexit made it a bit harder. The soaps, lotions, etc. need to be registered twice, shipping, etc. is probably also trickier.
I have a Henson Medium. I found the thin handle a bit hard for me to hold, so I put on an Alpha Bravo SS handle. Gave the weight and width I am more comfortable with. I bounce between that and my Rex Ambassador. The Henson is really great.
I just got mine from Shaving Time this week, my first safety, nicked a bit first time, second time really good shave, super happy with it and love how cheap blades are over cartridge
The Hensen is NOT made in the USA. It's made in Canada. Hensen's parent company does NOT make satellites. It makes precision parts for low earth orbit satellites, the international space station and the Mars rover. Nice preparation, dude!
Correction: You're not "Steve Major"...you meant Steve Austin who held the rank of Colonel played by Lee Majors....I suppose that you're giddy from the joy of your new Pace Makemaker, Mister Bionic Man... :D
I definitely want to check out the Henson, but I'm not sure about the Mild vs Medium as I have sensitive skin but very coarse hair that mild razors struggle with. You said you don't go ATG because it is removing the a small percentage of the upper epidermis; then why do you go ATG on your neck?
My neck grows centre outwards and is more forgiving than my cheeks. Many shavers shave ATG, and sometimes I do also, it personal preference, but I have been advised by barbers not to do it.
@@ShavingTimeCompany I think everybody has some areas where ATG can be performed and some areas not can be…for instance I can shave my cheeks and neck ATG but not chin and mustache area !
