she’s so successful at this point that she could go on tour around the US and probably sell out her venues. But she chooses to continue playing for us on Royal St so anyone is welcome to watch her perform. Miss Doreen is hell of a woman. That’s for sure.
I was there a week ago for the half time sugar bowl and I wish I could've have seen her BC I also play clarinet and give me some tips...other than that ,beautiful piece
fantastic. I am wondering what make of clarinet that is. I played a plastic Bundy back in High School and I just heard a girl play on a real wood instrument and the tone is way better... like this one.
I read that she plays a Bundy. It makes sense when you think that she plays outside in a varying degrees of heat/cool/humidity that would wreak havoc on a wood horn. She could make a tin whistle sound amazing.
I am sending this from NYC - my hubby lived in the Pontalba for decades before Katrina. He came to NY in 2005 - when we met and married. Soon as we get all our 'NY-biz' taken care of, we be coming home to NOLA for good. And I'm going to look for this cool, lovely clarinet lady..bless y'all!
Herr silky, haunting voice and amazing skills are staying with me and I'm hearing it on youtube. Have to visit THE GREAT New Orleans one day and be part of the FANTASTIC music scene. This is amazing!.
I would pay $100.00 an hour to have here teach my 10 year old son who has exceptional talent. I would pay more if I could...A few hours a week would change his world in the right direction! He loves her playing!
