Gary was an absolute legend. I doubt anyone would say anything bad against him. He was ahead of his time putting British food into the Premier league. his recipes for Oxtail and steamed Rolly Polly and Steak and kidney pudding are World beaters. His book New British Classics is one of the finest cook books ever written.
Damn, I literally just watched a different video that said be sure to add salt first because it breaks down the eggs and makes them more fluffy. Lol I have no idea which is better. I think it’s not that big a deal ultimately
Tried Gary's method this morning and it's great. Even though you're are not with us any more Gary you are still helping us to appreciate the art of cooking and encouraging us to be the best we can. .... a sad loss to the culinary world.
I made this omelette and it was truly delicious! And I found it refreshing that he's given us a method for making the omelette in a more relaxing manner. Thank you Gary!
Most strange, this is exactly how I cook my omelete everyday, maybe sometimes with a little ham or mushroom . Its perfect with a slice of crusty brown/granary bread with butter. 2 eggs is enough for me. Great honest chef, RIP. Many thanks
I genuinely don't know what you're on about, this is not a great omelette. It's overstuffed an that's why he struggles to close it on the pan with tomato falling off. The fact that he has to reshapes in with a towel just proves the point. Don't know him, it's a first video of him that I've seen so it's not anything against him, it's just not a great omlette recipe.
