Our channel is for uploading Magic the Gathering matches between our players, and possibly other related videos. The goal is for our players to see and learn from their mistakes, and also provide entertainment for anyone that decides to watch the videos. We run Friday Night Magic and other sanctioned events geared more towards casual than competitive play in order to help bring new players into the game.
May I make some suggestions for the Golgari Midrange Player? You could play *Illness in the Ranks* instead of *Virulent Plague* . It only gives -1/-1 to tokens, but costs B. (You won't hit Tokens from The Wandering Emperor or Kiki-Jiki's Reflection, but it's also significantly cheaper.) Or maybe even better I would try playing *Kaervak, the Spiteful* or *Bloodline Culling* , if you want to have something in the Main Deck against tokens. Kaervek is a 3/2 for BB2 and gives every other creature -1/-1. He is seems good against anything that tries to go wide, not just tokens. And *Bloodline Culling* is an instant, costs BB1, and you can choose to give one creature -5/-5 or all Creature Tokens -2/-2. I think they are worth a try since they still can be used in the Main Deck if your opponent doesn't play tokens. And thanks for the content!
In general I'm okay with the companions as most are very restrictive. But Jegantha, on the other hand, feels so random. I went through some of my decks a while ago and found some that I could play him in without having to change anything.
Guys your videos are always cool. That said, the boros player didn't have a good game. People think aggro is easy...not attacking with a monstrous rage in hand at 15:35?
@@buzzboy1001 is not about messing up, is about being ordered in the way you play, and having patience, he seems to rush his actions and just slap card in the board, instead of just taking it slow and ordering the things happening, he plays a fable, dosn't even place the goblin token he is alredy attacking
Awaken the Woods. Create X 1/1 green Forest Dryad land creature tokens. He cast it for X=3. That gives him 4 lands in play, with the 3 newly created land token creatures. 7 lands. Stomper can attack.
@@shawnwillbok Lol, I don't know if switching the basics actually helped... but I swear Candy Trail is underrated. That card smooths out my draws so much.
Who was saltier during a match neither of them care about: the guy who runs the channel or his best friend. Do you want us to play a completely silent match? We can do that.
@@LibertyMTGI guess it’s like Taylor swift said a hater gonna hate. I think you two were fine. no one likes a bad draw game when it happens to them so I think you both acted fine.
Nice. Keep up the pioneer video guys! 😊 I'm a pioneer player to the core. Been trying to increase the number of people here in our Area in New Zealand. So far we have decent numbers playing. Still working hard to get more people into it. Hope we can get a lot more numbers soon.
@@gridenourMTG hiii! Big fan of the way you play; you're very clear with your game actions, which is something I try to emulate in my own games. You even ask your opponents to cut the cards you filter from deluge every single time. Why do you do it, knowing that they'll probably decline? 😂
In a competitive rel atmosphere, not offering them to randomize, much like your deck after searching and shuffling, can get you in trouble, since you could know the order of the cards easily. Not likely but could happen and it’s always best practice for me to show this, since people watch from all over for info, even though I often make mistakes
at the end of the last game, u dont need to play that hard : just -1 the emreror to make a samurai and then u can -2 with the other emperor u have in hand. Back 4 mana...
Game 2 : the jund player channeled Boseiju (btw he overpaid since Magda is legendary), committed a crime, and crack the treasure. The treasure from Magda's ability enters the battlefield tapped, so that was illegal to push a 3-drop that way
It depends. If your opponent wants to cast in your main phase then you don't move to combat. On a technical level, you will need to declare moving to combat again.
