Been there numerous times and we like it a lot. We go in the fall and spring when it’s not so crowded. Housing has been stupidly over priced since Covid. We will keep what we have for now and if opportunity presents itself may buy fixer upper later.

I have been to Venice many times & loved it. What you said is totally correct, but that is exactly what many retired look forward to (no loud clubbing, no big city vibe, etc..). 😂😂
I heard homeowners' insurance is crazy like 12-15,000 a year in Florida - for a basic home like this one -within 20 miles of the water-not good-and citizens is trying to not be insurance of last resort-scary
I'm not sure where you heard that, but insurance is nowhere near $12,000 a year for most people. We live within 2 miles of the coast and pay about $2,500 for the year. There's still a lot of other providers in the state besides Citizens. There's a lot of channels out there trying to make it sound like insurance is impossible to get, insanely high priced, and/or the only option is Citizens. They find one or two worst case scenario examples and try to paint it like that's what's happening for everyone in Florida. That's not the reality, but a lot of channels make videos trying to make it seem that way because it gets clicks.
Nice job! Too much focus on decorations. Would appreciate it if you would focus on structure/style and emphasize more of the standard features and what is extra.

CDD's are a rip off. The developer instead of paying for the community infrastructure and recouping the money in lot prices as they've done in the past, they now double dip. It's like paying rent on the roads while paying a mortgage. This is also a loan that will never be paid off.
