What never made sense is this: These ladies had practiced on a vault horse and competed on the horse for years and hundreds, if not thousands, of vaults. They pretty well know what the height should be, much like ice hockey goalies can tell if the net they’re guarding off merely by feel. What took so long to figure out the horse was too low, and why didn’t someone ask to measure the vault sooner? It should be an obvious clue when something like a dozen or more gymnasts are falling short of vertical and missing vaults….?
I was watching with the edge of my eye doing at the same time something else and at some point I realized what was going on and I was utterly confused thinking "What the heak? How come all of them keep falling?" It took them more than that to comprehend what it was all about..

These girls trained so hard tland having to go thru this.? IOC should apologize, this is so embarrassing for these athletes. The look on these girls face were disappointed in themselves but in no fault of them. I feel very bad for them.

I sort of put some blame on the coaches tbh. After the 2nd or 3rd person fell the coaches should have got together and confronted the officials. They should have told them their athletes weren’t going back out until the vault was inspected.
Eu fico impressionada nesses últimos anos e hoje vendo as olimpíadas 2024 como a ginastica tinha umas musicas agua de coco. Ai a Daiane, pegou essa agua de coco e colocou uns Whisky, Gin e para coroa uma 51 ouro. Levou o sol a praia e deu uma vida ensolarada a esse esporte. Them blowing it off like it was "competition jitters" is gaslighting to the highest degree. You don't watch 36 of the worlds best athletes eat shit to a colossal and assume they're all just nervous
My question is HOW did no one see this before the competition started? If multiple gymnasts kept falling short on their vaults, that should be a clue something is wrong with the equipment!!
this was the worst way possible to announce this team. announcements that big and emotional shouldn't be made for millions to see. Its not fair on the people who didn't make it
During Allana Slater's vault the fucking commentators had the audacity to say it was because of her technique and calling her "not a very strong vaulter"
