It’s unfortunate as the Conor who beat also could and should’ve stayed and dominated in that division for as long as his body allowed him and then he’d have had a bit more respect on his name rather than chasing all these other accomplishments that don’t mean much. Obviously the double champ means something but after that he’s done nothing. The boxing match made him settled for life financially but since then he’s been irrelevant to all divisions and the sport really. I was a huge fan of him coming up and getting to be champ and a little after that but the way the money and fame has kinda changed him or allowed his true self to come out in no longer a fan. I tune in to watch him hopefully get slapped each and every fight he has. Shame really but it is what it is and that’s why the man for all his haters me being one I can still acknowledge that he’s completely changed the game and face of mma for the better. Not sure I’d say legend but a pioneer in how a lot of guys handle the media when a microphone is put in front of them and the way guys chat shit and give it all the time. He’s made so many fighters realise you can’t just sit be good and win you’ll always be looked over by the guy who’s possibly a little bit worse or level with you but they call people out and promote themselves. It’s entertainment at the end of the day and he’s the king of that just a shame his skill and level as a fighter don’t match up to that anymore.
Regardless of most peoples opinion on Conor’s fighting ability , we can all truly say this guy is a true showman ! Always fun to watch Conor fight even when he gets beat up lmao .
A lot of it was cocaine, he was so coked in the khabib conference I was face palming he was so rude. Thought he was untouchable, go back and listen to Conor’s own words he was so prophetic he predicted his own downfall. He seems to have become wise to his ways though never know what’ll happen.
