Higher quality biochar (90%) and less fly ash create a much lighter and stronger carbon based concrete. If made properly it also provides an insulation factor. The biggest factor is using the proper pyrolysis gasification equipment. Good work so far!

Various moisture measurement methods were researched by VTT in Finland. The baseline used was gravimetric. In field exposures at 14 and 28 weeks, none of the other methods other than Tramex Concrete Meter were correlative with the gravimetric readings. Alkalinity has an inhibiting effect on measurable RH. Studies globally have found the top one inch of concrete is the gradient of concern. It has been found that the concrete gradient tends to self desiccate in the first 2-3 weeks after concrete placement. Greatly reducing the amount of cement development. This top inch has been shown to be the area of concern for moisture and environmental durability.
