but you dont explain if metering mode affects ttl... You just change flash compensation, that obviously it affects. But you dont explain if spot metering or matrix or center weighted metering will affect to ttl output flash power, obviously with out changing flash compensation. So if I an shooting manual, and metering mode changes my exposimeter, will this affect the flash out put when using ttl?
If you have trouble with too much light, you could just increase the frame rate to 60p, which would allow you to crank up the shutter speed to 1/180, which would darken your image while improving the quality with smoother movement & less motion blur. Additionally, you could further increase your f-stop to darken the image, which also comes with an added benefit of an increase in quality, since the background would become sharp, instead of blurry. Personally, I prefer to "colour correct" in-camera instead of in post. I would adjust the pp to low-contrast, high-saturation, with perhaps some sharpening.
My very first AF duty station. What a difference 40 years makes! I was there from '81-'83, and thought it was big THEN! The only thing I recognize now are the trees.
That had me thinking about how it was when I as a kid went to the Russian base to get some supplies. What a contrast! Military occupation never looked more attractive.
Well, its either looks similar or looked nothing like that when I met it and now I'm here, somewhere else in the US with it. Some of the times it outcomes of hostaging the change in style. Other times, one person of very high value says, let's go to such and such and looks very similar and is like here to this one. We use a ton of endurance to keep well in these dynamics.
I remember watching this video while I was preparing to move to Ramstein from the States. 4 years later, I’m typing this from my TLF on RAB, getting ready to PCS back to the States next week. This was the best assignment of my life and rewatching this brought back so many great memories.
78 years after WWII the US continues to pay 1 billion each year for the Ramstein military base. Ramstein is only 1 of 40 US bases in Germany. WTF C'mon even Elvis went home.
So german taxpayers fund americans to be in their country but americans spend all their money at american stores in a closed site only open to military personnel. Would be better if americans showed gratitude by going out and supporting the local german economy instead of taking their american brands everywhere they go.
Germany is really cool, its a bit expensive, and getting more so, but you can find great deals, lots of things you need to know before deciding to move there, the smaller towns are way better, under 20,000 people are best, the bigger towns and cities are expensive, in a rural country area people are much nicer and easier to get along with. Be aware there are Germans that dont care for Americans very much, they feel invaded and cant understand why any American would want to live in Germany. While not hostile they arent very nice either.
Hahaha yeah you definitely got a point 😅 I've been focusing on myself and trying to reclaim doing the things that bring enjoyment to my life. Thanks for sticking around Rob!
Old fart here ----- spent 67-69 enlisted . Left spring 69 as an E-5. Traveled to 15 countries which left me dead broke & enjoying the time of my life. Wow hard to believe the changes.
I was there the 1st time in 1955 to 58. Again in 1973-75 when I retired. In 1955 it was 2 bases, South side where the runways are, was named Landstuhl Air Base and the North side was Ramstein Air Base. Somewhere later it was changed to just Ramstein AB. Lots of changes of course. Good to see how they are taking care of military and their families. Many fond memories for my wife and I as newly-weds lliving in Ramstein Village and later for the whole family living at Sembach. Richard Wall MSGT USAF Retired
Wow. I was there as a child from 1967 to 1970! My dad was stationed there, and man has it changed!! Had fun there as a child….5th,6th and 7th grade. I am now 66.
