Battle out of Hell was my house cleaning music. Every Saturday morning we cranked that music and cleaned the whole house! I’m old now and can’t do that major cleaning all in the same day but still love the music!
They told Meat that it was okay if he couldn't "fit all the words in". The Eddie in London couldn't fit them all in. But the Fat Boy from Dallas Texas said, "I'll fit them all in", and so he did.
ER hat mir Musik, Emotion und echtes Gefühl beigebracht....😮😮😮😮😮 Ohne ihn, seine Musik, seine Texte, seine ehrliche Präsenz hätte ich mein krudes Leben nie überstanden....Thank you and see you in heaven with a great singalong...❤❤❤❤❤❤ I miss you, buddy😢😢😢😢😢
My brother who has been in heaven for approximately 20 years now, introduced me to this guy MEATLOAF😂 But damn I think of him every time I hear this song 😢. Pray for me brother 🙏 and I will pray for you ❤
That was absolutely amazing. Very well crafted. I had Chills , laughter & tears. He was such an amazing talented performer...Gone but never forgotten.. Rock In Peace you amazing soul.
I remember everything, from when they did this in Cardiff that year. Brilliant performances that are still remembered today. Both departed this world too soon.
Linked here from a reference in the VULTURE comments (article re Ingrid Andress' "Star Spangled Banner sung in cursive"). And...wow. The rocker reining it in, yet still powerful, clear, precise, in glorious (pre auto-) tune...fantastic.
During the piano intro, I expected him to start an octave lower. When he started in the higher octave, I was holding my breath - will he have the high notes? Man, he PLUGGED 'em. Way to go. Gave me the feels.
Been asked, but where/when is this from? And the Melbourne version is back up on youtube for quite a while so some great versions to choose from now....
Another fascinating nugget! The singing sounds very close to the album version! I am impressed ... I love Bat out of Hell II songs (somewhat lukewarm on "I'd do Anything for Love") - give me "Everything Louder ...", "Out of the Frying Pan", "Good Girls go to Heaven" and I am happy. And a bit of 80s Meat Loaf! When I was at my last ML concert (signficantly more than a decade ago, late 2000s I think) "Out of the Frying Pan" was the best one. What I would have given for "Everything Louder than Everything Else" ...
Bernie Taupin & Elton John redux Stienman needed Meat's voice & energy; Meat needed Stienman's writing They were magic, legendary together. Just normal good musicians without each other
