It's a public street, call it in they will tag it mark the tires. If it doesn't move they'll impound it,even if the plates are good. If they can't afford to keep good tires on it they probably can't afford impound fee Go to the police auction and bid on it 🤔
Did you tell them what you wanted to do to the car ? Because that may have put them off, a lot of people get funny about people changing something that they love that they used to own
Its their car, they can do with it as they please.. Go find another car.. This one might be their dead son's car, or a father who passed, etc etc.. I asked a farmer I worked for about a 67 chevelle ss, he had in his shop covered up, and if ye would sell it to me and take it out of my wages.. The car was his son's, who got drafted to vietnam, and never came home.. I never asked him again.. 10 years later, he was sick and dying, his wife called me and told me he wanted to talk to me.. So i went to the hospital, and he gave me the title, and all he asked in return, was for me to look after his wife, help her clean up their place to sell it.. Patience is key.. You have put your interest in their mind, when they are ready, they will let you know.. ✌♥️🇺🇸
Surprised city cop doesn't give ticket to persons of car... residential streets. Only allows 3 days parking not moving. But if moved then clock starts over again.
were I live a car can only sit in one spot for 3 days or you will get a ticket and you have to have good tabs on it. It this is the case in your area you can call parking informant on them maybe a ticket will change there mind.
I can relate to that. My dad was killed in car accident in 1987. I was 11 and I was the oldest of his 5 kids. He had a 1972 4x4 full size chevy truck he loved that broke down a sat in yard for year before accident. 1-2 times week someone would stop to try buying it. It's still sitting cause we have plans to restore it but we wouldn't ever sell it and been offered more than double what it's worth.
Cash talks brother . Those are becoming highly desired cars here lately . You will spend a minimum of $30,000 doing a complete restoration on it . If you really want it ,, personally I’d be looking for a T-Top car, flash $3,500 at them and leave your phone # . Sitting out beside the road like that tells me they don’t have the money to keep it somewhere. Nor to even get it back on the road . After 6 months go back and offer 4
