had to re watch it to see if you were being sarcastic or not. i see you were being sarcastic. the reason i didn't narrate it is because i don't know enough about all that equipment to know what I would be talking about. I was a user (not a maintenance person) for many years of a radio system similar to that back in the 90s. the stuff i could ramble about, would be more about programming a radio for that system, which is software, while the video is about hardware.
@@Capecodham that is called a trunked system, specifically a Motorola Type 2 analog, and probabally P25 digital based on the quantar controllers. The original version of those systems came out in the early 80s. In the late 80s Motorola came out with a public safety version called smartnet, in the mid 90s Motorola started using digital/analog trunking and by 2010-2020 motorola had focused on P25 only systems. My money would say this system is probably from 2000-2010
As Hurricane Milton approaches the coast, this afternoon SARNet control put out a statement advising people to refrain from checking in with weather related information (and surrogately any information related to hurricane Milton, by extension) and that only “officially designated people or agencies” may use SARNet during this emergency. Agencies? This is 70cm, right? Huh. Despite what SARNet published as their guidelines for prohibited use of the net, I’m continually hearing the same people using SARNet everyday for the most trivial of comms, or as they say, conversations that could best be conducted on a cellphone or some other medium. And then there’s this KE4EOC guy running anyone off in the most unfriendly manner by saying “this is a controlled net”, when the frequency is completely quiet. Idiots. But I digress. As of 2100 tonight, I’ve heard absolutely nothing that would indicate that there’s a hurricane off the coast of Florida that will most certainly cause widespread devastation to the region. In light of this, and being that this repeater system covers the entire state of Florida I’m a little unclear of what value it has. Particularly since licensed amateur radio operators are somehow forbidden from checking in with pertinent information relating to the given crisis.
Try spraying ammonia on the battery tray so you don’t get the acid on your hands and accidentally touch your face. Ammonia is a base and it neutralizes the acid.

time flies. i have a slideshow of the pinellas park mall in 2004, and when i look at it, it looks so much like the 80s. i didnt see that in 2004 when i took the photos

I played in the food courts play area as a kid in the late 90s, watched movies in the cinema and always liked the cedar point rollercoasters motion simulator thing. kinda sad because i visited the shoe store not too long ago and seen a homeless woman changing her babies soiled diaper on one of the benches in there. 😖
Hey there, thanks for sharing ! I love these old time fixes. Fortunately my mechanic still applies these fixes! I remember this being done on my older vehicles too when I was younger and now with my older mecury mountaineeer.
this make me sad just by looking poor Kmart gone with the dunes I hope they can make a comeback smaller stores I could work we reasonably went to Miami and I for got about this Kmart oh well no more blue light specials
I worked at the mall too. My very first job was at The Dairy Queen. I think I was 15 so like 1997. My best friend and I got jobs there together. I loved how when it was slow we would eat icecream. When we were trained, the girl training us also showed us the little hole under the counter where we could sit and eat our icecream when there weren't any customers haha. I worked in the Sears photography studio too. That was so much fun! Working with all the cute little kids and babies.
perhaps there is corrosion or rust buildup on your starter if it hadnt been used in awhile. i dont recall ever having a plunger be stuck in the solonoid.
I honestly can't believe this place is still open. They charge insane rent and have been for years! Horrocks is really the only reason I go to the mall anymore, and occasionally the shoe store. Applebee's and Wild Wings are just horrible nowadays, so that end of the mall is useless, in my opinion. It's sad to see how it is now compared to its heyday, it was great at one time.
So Kmart usually has a snack bar like Little Ceasars where do they find the room to put a snack bar in that little space that used to be the garden center? Just kidding I know it's impossible but Kmart is known for having snack bars in they're stores?
@@historychannel2317 well anyway why did this location get shrunk down to the garden shop cause couldn't At Home wait until that location closes since it probably wouldn't be for long with the way Kmart is going these days?
It was a good place to meet girls when I was a teenager. Aladdin's castle was my first stop, then Pretzel Sam's, KB Toys, Radio Shack. But that was back when people were allowed a bit of disposable income.
