I played this all the time for my son when he was born. I forgot the name and couldn't find it until it popped up in my feed just now. It takes me back to what was such a magical time in my life. Thank you.
Well I can't explain why I didn't know about Colin Stetson all this time. Anyway, his music has impressed me very much. Especially this musical fireworks! I also recommend to listen to this live performance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RdtT1Rjs_-Q.html
In my search for new, stirring sounds, I came across a very special musician and composer Pauline Anna Strom. Since she was born blind, she increasingly tapped into her environment through acoustic stimuli and other sensory impressions. Strom came into contact with classical music at a young age and was fascinated by the sonic possibilities of modern synthesizers. She began composing purely electronic music pieces as an adult, recording them on a Tascam four-track recorder. Her first album was called "Trans-Millenia Consort" and was released in 1982. This piece of music also came from this album. Sadly, Pauline passed away in December 2020 at the age of 74. But her legacy remains.
It was sad to read about her death just as she was about to release new music; I know swedish radio had an interview booked for some days later. But the album did come out, and it was great to hear ~
This song is ridiculously good. Its sound is so... thick? Feels like you're swimming in it. I feel bad for the billions of people who do not know this song lol.
This is soooo pretty! I can sense some loneliness but it’s a good loneliness to wander all around such a beautiful world full of nature and pretty sounds that make you want to float on the clouds and fly far far away until you forget everything and don’t even remember your name so you think of a new one
Between two floors My dreams and yours Following a friend Foregoing the end From the hammers to the ears We invite our fears To sing outside Little spaces turn wide And on the first try When the keys don't cry We find a place Time's only race With pockets of light Chasing the night
