Hi Everyone! My name is Isaac, better known as Pugsly. Right now I am focused on making Gnar Lol content! I mostly play 4fun, and try to have an enjoyable time making simple videos for you guys! My future goals in Lol are to reach Master, and to have as much fun as possible playing Lol! Maybe 1 day I can reach the highs of Challenger or higher, but for now, I like to take tiny steps so I can enjoy my time playing Lol! What really is a Gnar build? In reality it might just be a social construct. We might try to understand it better but we just end up right where we started. Anyways protobelt and riftmaker are broken on Gnar (source: trust me bro) :)
bro, laning vs a Gragas is still the most disgusting to me (Especially if you play a short-range champ). Gragas has almost everything, sustain from W. Q & E to poke and dodge skill shot. R to engage or disengage fight. I always ban him. lol
Hey, so I’m a huge gnar fan. I’ve been trying to make a gnar mid build, but unfortunately, I’m not really skilled enough at the game to make proper decisions. Also, you should explore the potential of AP gnar. I played him like that, and once you have Nashors Tooth and Rageblade, you deal an insane amount of damage.
Hey man, can you explain why sometimes Gnar build Trinity Force and Black Cleaver together, and sometimes I only see Trinity Force alone. And if facing a heavy tank, should I build Black Cleaver first? Awesome video btw. Thanks
Black cleaver to shred armor, if you do not need it for specific game then steraks or a tank item might be better. I wouldn't recommend building cleaver first since you spike harder with trinity.
I usually like building heart steel as my first item, both because of the extra durability and the damage proc. But it’s a little annoying against ranged champs like heim and teemo Haven’t tried warmogs tho… maybe should give it a try Great video overall, love ur content keep up the amazing work ^^ 👏
The most difficult part about succeeding with this build is getting ahead early, so I understand. And malphite isn't easy either so don't be too hard on yourself.
If enemy locks in full ap/ad I think it is ok to go warmog heartsteel build because all you have to build is mr/armor straight after. Trinity Cleaver Is Better tho I think overall
Only thing I have against warmog is that gnar is bad at pushing lane and taking towers without ad, so in top lane once your opponent understands that he can roam almost freely.
Hey ! I am a Gnar lover too ! So, I play Gnar in top most of the time, and I discovered a fun and strong (at least, strong when I play it) build based on the MS. It is a tanky build, but still with some damage ! Here is the build (in my order, for the first 2 items, after it's what you want) - Hullbreaker (Because, MS, nice damage and more tankiness + with demolish, you destroy towers x)) - Deadman's Plate (Tankiness + Nice MS, for running away or chasing !) Now the order is when you want to take it : - Black Clever (It gives MS + item passive usefull) - Sundered Sky (No MS, but powerfull item with the regen, the nice amount of HP you have, and tankiness) - Force of Nature (MS + Tankiness AP) I usually play with the following runes : Grasp : Demolish, Second Wing, Overgrowt Triumph, Alacrity Adaptative, MS, Growing HP (But, after some reflexion writting this message, the rune "celerity" [in the blue tree]) should be really good with that build !) (And, btw, this is a good build against Darius too, to escape him x)))
How do you play against darius? I thought gnar was a speedy rat, but darius is disgusting with his ms. His pull is gnars AA range and being pulled means death, so what do I do?
You can't, Darius cunter for gnar early game . Darius, irelia , Gwen , and more cunter for gnar But as a tip, use your E correctly and it will be a bit difficult
tbh i usually try to bait grab and wait to use your e to avoid him getting 5 stacks and just poke cause you just have to give him prio cause youre weak into him until mega but still darius shreds :/
I personally have a ton of trouble with darius but what I can say I rush boots first & take bone plating. You can try to match his ghost If you want, but not necessary. If he pulls you, try your best to e out preferably onto minions to get double bounce. If not, you can try to e ontop of him slighty toward your tower + q so you can aa once and get ms from w. I would say wait later lvls and get trinity to 1v1 him easier. Like I said, I always suck vs darius too even tho it should be good matchup but I always have trouble so its something we will have to learn together I guess lol.
After lvl 6, Gnar auto outranges Darius E, so it is a bit easier to trade then. Try to bait his pull by walking towards him and back repeatedly, but stay out of range. Since his E cooldown is long, if he misses it, this is when you should try to poke, CS, or all in him. Try chunking him with boomerangs until he's around half health, then you can kill him with mega form. However, if you try to 1v1 him as mega while he's full HP, you will likely lose.
U should try to comment how u have to play against the enemies champion so we can learn how to play against certain matchups. Just so its also educational content :)
