Idk if you knew about the Sami Hagar van Halen tour (best of all worlds tour) Joe’s in as well starting in about a month. The 3rd Power amps Joe used them in this last tour for testing, since they were custom made for him to capture the mid to late 80s, Eddie Van Halen, tones of Marshall, Soldano, and peavey amps
Hip hop is musically garbage. It’s put together by people with zippo musical talent. And bought by people with no real ear for music. It’s all about attitude I suppose.
I don’t understand why people like this sort of guitar playing. Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen played this crap and it really seems a departure from real music. Jimi Hendrix could play for hours just screwing around on his guitar and it had rhythm and heart. This shit is just empty.
Thank you for posting these videos! I was there sitting on 3rd row and was so blown away that I didn't get a lot of pics or videos. Thanks for helping me remember the show!
Thank you, it’s my pleasure. I was wearing the same shirt on my profile picture, we must’ve ran into each other, i was talking to people and taking pictures of the pedals and gear on stage. The show was phenomenal
@@JayAgassi I got lucky and was at the front of the line for the meet and greet. So, I got first row for that! I was about 3 feet from Steve. 😀 I saw Steve Vai at the paramount about 18 months ago. I thought the band was MUCH better this time. Joe is just the master...
Make sure to get hi fi earplugs to enjoy the show, the live sound was very muddy and loud with low end rumble, i couldn’t hear the solo. the video sounded much better. Enjoy the show man🤘🔥
Your first time seeing him? If so, be ready for the best night of your life. My girlfriend and her mom and dad took me to see him for my birthday years ago, they ended up being bigger fans of his that night then me lolol. Two days later and I had come home and he dad had every album he's ever made all laid out on the kitchen table and was working his way through them, her mom even had wormhole wizards jamming out lol. He has that affect on people. In fact, I have friends of every music genre I can think of, and a couple of gangster rap go hards have favorite songs from him. He's got have made a fucking deal with devil.
@@fatherof3husbandto1 it’s my 2nd concert ever, and 2nd time seeing Joe, 1st time seeing Steve Vai! And what an amazing human and a monster player he is🤯🔥
One of my most 'hummed' guitar riffs of all time......Saw joe play this in a small theater just after the album came out, with Jonathan Mover and Stu Hamm....met him that day and he was the sweetest guy ever
Bryan Beller is killing it in this jesus christ hes a monster. I loved when Marco and Bryan were touring with Satch, its the Aristocrats sans Govan lol. Great musicians all around. Awesome vid bro. Got to see him live when he was touring on Wormhole Wizards, it was amazing. His music and style of playing affected me so greatly as an aspiring guitarist, and his influence is still very visible in my playing today. I can honestly say his music brought me through a time in my life where I truly believe without it I probably wouldnt have made it. Crazy to think in a small way I owe Satriani my life. I really hope to meet him one day.
Wow, thanks man! I’m a huge fan of Joe’s, i picked up a guitar because of him too, he always chooses the best players to work with! His shows with Mike Keneally, Marco, and Bryan were awesome too! I met Joe twice in Q&A both videos are on my channel. Check them out.. stay tuned for new videos in few hours. Keen on rockin🤘
@@JayAgassi ❤️❤️❤️❤️ satch is unreal, doing what he does at the level he does it ......and now in his 60s damn. He was in his late 30s early 40s when I first started listening to him, I was a teenager, and I was a Metallica fanatic at the time, the were in their prime, a year or two after releasing the black album. Load came out and I was blown. We all hated it. Someone told me that the guy who taught Kirk hammer was a dude named Joe satriani. And so I went out and bought the extremist. It blew me away. Flattened me. It was everything I wanted in music. Beautiful compositions that gave me goosebumps, no singer, and ludicrous solos, far beyond anything I had ever heard before. And summer song was in a Sony discman commercial so I was vaguely familiar with that tune when it came on. I immediately went and bought the tab book and my whole world changed. It's crazy to think a man who's music, this intangible thing none of us can touch, touches both you and I in way that shapes and changes our lives for the better, and it was all possible because a very talented man sat down and recorded the music he heard in his heart and head, and we went and experienced it, and now that same music connects both you and I and him and countless others. Music is the most powerful thing besides love I know of in the plane of existence. Nothing has the power to influence quite like music. It will influence what we wear, who we like to hang out with, our emotional state for the positive or negative, our political leanings, (which as a musician I wholeheartedly ask the listening public to never listen to any entertainer or artists political leanings and instead educate yourself). It's what I always hoped I would be able to replicate on some small level for others, though I primarily play guitar for myself these days, which was how it all started lol. I have no problem though if the whole world suddenly fell dead and could never hear a note I play. It's become such a a huge part of who I am and what I've lived through, and even to the point it's become part of my name now especially in situations where there's more than one person with my first name, I'm always guitar Dave. I'm glad you were able to get that on vid man, moments like those are so sudden and random, they were all so into the zone and watching something like that is powerful. There's an energy there that connects to the audience and it's powerful. Thanks for posting this and letting me run my mouth. I forget sometimes to come back and listen to him, I get so lost in this world of the wave of current guys I can forget sometimes just how fucking good Joe really is. There's a video of his playing of Andalusia live from his like 08 tour maybe I'm kinda fuzzy but anyway towars the end of the song and him soloing, he takes like maybe the b string, maybe even the g string, and is pulling the string off the side of the fretboard and it looks and sounds fucking so cool, and is just placed and performed at the perfect point in the song. God damn the man can capture the peak of intensity in a solo like no one else. Anyways bro I'll shut up. Thanks again man great stuff. Please share more in the future I'll always be looking!!!
@@fatherof3husbandto1 wow! man! thanks for sharing your thoughts and memories ❤️❤️ i shared a Q&A video of Joe and Steve, i have a very similar story to yours, I was raised overseas in a different culture where Rock/metal music is none existent, i was 5 years old searching through radio channels, and heard this amazing rock song with a wicked guitar solo, i was captivated with how it lifted me to another world! Later in my early teens i got to hear Yanni, multiple metal and rock CDs, they had solos here and there, in 2006 i bought an MP3 CD that had Super Colossal and a Steve vai album in it! I found my treasure! All instrumental guitar melodies and Amazing solod, No singing 🤯 i liste to his music everyday and i had an urge to pickup a guitar, play, and learn to hopefully i can make such music and pass on the torch… after almost 18 years, I told that to Joe few days ago on 05/03 in my video❤️ i almost cried like a little baby 😂 I asked him: “with so many amps, guitars, pedals, gear options and doing multiple takes of a piece while recording, how to avoid getting lost in all of that and stay on track?” His answer was such an amazing encouragement, he listened to me like i was the rockstar. @Joesatriani What an amazing human being 🙏 Please watch what he said, i’m married with 3 kids, but it’s my life mission now to learn and play 100% I have a lotta content to post rn, please stay tuned, welcome to my channel brother🔥 much love, keep on rockin🤘❤️🔥
