I think you're right to be concerned about Darth Vader looking after the babies. I mean, we KNOW Anakin is not above child murder. He's specifically engaged in it TWICE. TWO SEPARATE TIMES. He killed every sand person child in a sand people village AND he murdered every training Jedi youngling. The Muppet Babies are lucky to have become Muppet Adults at all.

And to make matters worse, nobody knew what happened next to The Two Headed Monster once they entered China. I mean they never even bumped into Big Bird nor Barkley by surprise. Which is not surprising since I rarely see them team up with other Muppets during The Jim Henson Years.
The creepiest sesame street moment for my kids was the Easter Bunny segment in "Elmo Saves Christmas". The Easter Bunny is played by the that guy with the weird voice from "Mrs. Doubtfire" and "Independence Day". He gives off a really creepy vibe as the Easter Bunny, and we always had to skip his scene.
Interesting choice, as I also grew up quite a bit with Elmo Saves Christmas. I never personally found that Easter Bunny character scary. More so odd, if nothing else, I was confused to why they got an actual human playing the Easter bunny instead of… well… a muppet.. seemed super obvious to me. Also, “Guy with the weird voice from Mrs. Doubtfire.” Uhh, excuse me, that’s actually YAO KING OF THE ROCK, you’re talking about here thank you very much. ;)
actually in the old muppet show in the early seasons. Gonzo did actually act very flirty towards miss piggy, well more like he was her secret admirer in one episode and where he often seems to fawn over her, to that point of her calling him alot of words and well smacking him over the head. it was later on in the show they established gonzo's likeing for chickens since it might be in bad taste to have gonzo be desireing miss piggy

In regards to Summer possibly being a Muppet Babies only character, it seems like that's a legitimate possibility unless legal matters are sorted through. Back in 2021, someone asked Muppet veteran Kirk Thatcher on Twitter if Summer could be used in regular Muppet projects, and he says it's a possibility, but he also says how a different division handles Muppet Babies, and issues would need to be cleared up. I mentioned how the series, much like all Disney Junior originals, is produced by the Disney Junior Educational Resource Group (now called Disney Junior Education And Inclusion). While he didn't directly say anything, the fact he liked my tweet confirms this. Disney Junior is VERY protective of their shows, both original and based on established properties. They won't allow anything from their shows to be used substantially in non-Disney Junior produced Disney media unless you pay a lot. That's why the only non-preschool Disney projects to reference Disney Junior shows are the live action Chip And Dale movie (which had a cameo from Doc McStuffins) and The Proud Family: Louder And Prouder (which had a reference to Elena Of Avalor). Of course, this isn't anything new for Disney. One of the creators of DuckTales 2017 (Francisco Angones), said how he wanted to use Mickey Mouse in an episode, but he would've had to pay Disney a lot of money to use him. It's also why Chip And Dale: Rescue Rangers couldn't be directly referenced in the show, at least not at first. I think Thumbelina is far from his worst work given the real fact that I kinda liked it as a child. Troll in Central Park i liked a tiny bit better. The Pebble and the Penguin felt flat to me. So that is the worst imo
If you thought Frazzle was scary, take a gander at the Season 1 monsters like the Beautiful Day Monster! Those look more like Toriyama-esque designs and acted every bit as monstrous as they looked and sounded.

Huh, did not know this actually! I just presumed it was just part of some budget constraint the series had that’s just more notable in HD. Didn’t know this was a recent thing that was intentional because of seizure prevention but it makes sense considering that I have noticed this in other older animated shows on Disney Plus. So thanks so much for that little tidbit!
Gonzo having a crush on was a thing the muppets show for two episodes and in the first movie. It is interesting how big it was in this show. Also not only did the reboot drop Gonzo’s crush. Miss Piggy doesn’t seem to have crush on Kermit either which works here.
How to fix the movie? Simple, make it like the original concept with; a cute romance between Asha and the starboy (Jack frost from rise of the guardians if he had golden hair and could turn into different animals) An evil couple which is cool, first time we would saw one. I think Asha's grandpa had a bigger role in the story. Thoses changes are good and would make an excellent film. Too bad we got; a lot of references, a boring heroine, lame side characters (I can't remember any of their names except Simon. The rest were just a reference and were not interresting, funny or charming) an annoying talking goat and pop music in a medieval world; it doesn't go AT ALL with the universe 😐
I prefer this movie than the sequel. The heroines are boring, the music is not memorable, the humor... meh. The ONLY good part is the begining with the witches as kids, the rest of the movie was soooo boring 😟Also, the main girl could use magic out of nowhere. She never learned how to cast spells but can create a shield? Sure, that makes sense! This one has action, likable characters, the talking cat has a sad story, the witches are funny and entertaining. I like Hocus pocus, it's a good film!
It's so weird how people like you equate pointing out similarities with previous media or believing one to be derivative of another with complaining about it or asserting that it's a lesser version of same. No, I didn't think you hated Toy Story. Why would I think that? You had nothing negative to say about it. How were you complaining about it? You laid out some reasons why people think it was ripped off from something else. That has nothing to do with the quality of either piece nor your opinion on same. Why do people hear "thing X sucks" when you really said "thing X is not an original idea?" That's not the same thing and not what the speaker means. Let's try to take people's words at face value in cases like this. Ascribing extra secret meanings is very fraught. You're most likely assuming things that aren't really there and people don't usually react well to that so it's just best not to do it without a good reason

The show was seen in the United Kingdom on Playhouse Disney from 2005-2007. The shows and the franchise are now owned and controlled by Disney. Some episodes received cuts and other edits during reruns. For example, The Muppet Movie footage of Kermit the Frog emerging from a saloon in the Ghost Town as originally used to preface a bubblegum showdown between Baby Kermit and Baby Gonzo in "Close Encounters of the Frog Kind" was removed in some reruns. I dig The Secret of NIMH, but All Dogs Go to Heaven reigns supreme because of Carface. The only reason I went to see it was because it has a Pit Bull in it and I ended up addicted. I have a couple of Carface figurines.
