I am an avid fisherman who focuses on smallmouth bass in rivers and streams in Ohio. I do not have catch phrases, I post raw video of my catches and misses, without a bunch of commentary. I try to keep my fishing very simple, with a limited number of lures and basic methods.
I like when the rivers are low, my home river is really low right now also. It's kind of fun to fish the deeper holes because they are so concentrated in them. Great video man and nice bass!
Thank you. Some of the streams here are as low as I have ever seen them. They do tend to concentrate in the deeper holes. I am really looking forward to the fall bite.
It really is. I have a major river (The Great Miami River) that runs through my property, that I typically fish stretches of). This is a small creek I just started fishing this year, had no idea just how good it was. Also has some big largemouth (which is a bit odd for Ohio creeks).
One day you will regret giving up so much info on your spots. Small waterways can only take so much pressure. Besides naming the stream, you show bridges and other landmarks. Not hard to figure out where you are fishing.
Great job! Nice meeting you on the GMR a few evenings ago. The following evening I caught a 20”+ at the spot further south towards Dayton I was telling you about!
Nice video! and those were some big smallmouth! we went to the stillwater yesterday, and i caught a 2 and a half pound smallie on a whopper plopper! i think i will try the GMR this Saturday, hope the water isn't to low
Picking up a few subscribers every week buddy. Awesome! Another good video! If I can make a suggestion...I love your content, but it's hard to hear you sometimes. Maybe get a better microphone.
Think I caught the same big smally on the northbound 75 piling. I think the big ones taste better. I put the little ones back grow up. Love those big fillets.
@@fourteenth. It is really just a preference thing for me. I think most people prefer to use tubes, soft plastics (crawfish), jigs for smallmouth. Earlier spring and later in the fall I prefer to use swimbaits and spinnerbaits
The full video has a much better slow motion view of the bass. It was a huge largemouth. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fbig3L6fg50.html
Nice video mate!! I just made a pike video for my channel and it’s cool to see how other people are doing!! I love watching your videos, keep up the good work! 🎣🤝🎣
Thank you. I just checked out those 2 videos. That is a crazy amount of pike. Pike are really hit or miss here this time of year, but really start to get more active closer to fall.
awesome fish catches! Dont mean to get into details, but where do you normally to put in kayaks in the great miami river, its been really hard recently to find spots, keep posting content, always love to see it!👍
Thank you. I fish from just north of Dayton to just below Indian Lake. Tipp, Troy, Piqua and Sidney have multiple locations/parks, bridges that are easy access, they get a lot of pressure right in town, but if you either float down or paddle up river you can find some excellent spots in each locatin.
dude nice , greenville creek really!? awesome, i need to get out there again and try it! caught some way above greenville falls! btw how is the stillwater recently, cause its been so hot! your vids keep me posted, awesome fish!
Thank you. I had only fished Greenville where it runs in to the Stillwater, never above there. I have a crazy big smallmouth on a video I will be posting in a week or so from Greenville (it was 20"+). It threw the hook right at the kayak when it jumped,, but destroyed a Whopper Plopper. The Stillwater was really low last time I went over. I will probably be going to Greenville again tomorrow, so I will check the Stillwater.
