Thanks for the informative video! I am also planning to take the Gottard Panorama Express from Lugano to Lucerne. I have bought my train tickets from Lugano to Fluelen. I would like to find out if it is necessary to pre-book the steamboat tickets from Fluelen to Lucerne? or they can be bought after alighting from the train at Fluelen? And if the steamboat tickets can free under the Swiss Travel Pass?
@@kennethgoh2195 glad to hear that you’ll be taking the train trip 🚂 🏔️. I purchased a 1st Class Saver Day Pass directly from the SBB APP. With this day pass it includes the Gotthard Panorama Express, the boat ride from Flüelen to Lucerne, and smaller train rides and buses in and around Lucerne for the entire day. I found that this saver pass was less expensive than buying a ticket specifically for the Gotthard Express. Additionally, the Gotthard Panorama Express train requires you to make a 1st class seat reservation, which can also be purchased on the SBB APP or website.
@@AkashSikder-us9bw I wish I knew. I’m not familiar with this specific plant, but this nursery does carry a larger variety of plants. It’s worth a visit.
Just came across your video. I was actually there right at the same time you were. Although I was camped east of the Crystal pool. The wind was really blowing that New Year’s Eve.
Accessing Rosenlaui Valley: By Car 1. From Interlaken: a) Drive towards Meiringen via Route 11. b) In Meiringen, follow the signs to Rosenlaui. The road will take you through the beautiful Reichenbach Valley and then to the Rosenlaui Valley. Note: The road is narrow and winding, particularly after Schwarzwaldalp, and may be challenging for inexperienced drivers. 2. From Lucerne: a) Take the A8 motorway towards Interlaken. b) Exit at Brienz and follow Route 11 to Meiringen. c) From Meiringen, follow the same route as above. By Public Transportation 1. Train: a) Take a train to Meiringen, which is accessible from major cities like Interlaken, Lucerne, and Zurich. b) Check the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) website for schedules and connections. 2. PostBus: a) From Meiringen, take the PostBus (bus route 164) towards Rosenlaui. b) The bus journey offers scenic views and convenient stops at various points in the valley, including the Rosenlaui Glacier Gorge and Schwarzwaldalp.
No, you cannot take the Gotthard Express directly from Tirano. The Gotthard Panorama Express operates between Lugano (or Flüelen) and Lucerne in Switzerland. It involves a scenic train ride through the Gotthard region and a boat ride on Lake Lucerne. However, if you are in Tirano, you can take the Bernina Express to Chur, Switzerland. From Chur, you can then travel by train to Lugano or Lucerne to connect with the Gotthard Panorama Express. Here's a possible route: 1. **Bernina Express**: Take the Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur. 2. **Chur to Lugano/Lucerne**: From Chur, take a regular train to Lugano or Lucerne. 3. **Gotthard Panorama Express**: From Lugano or Lucerne, you can board the Gotthard Panorama Express to enjoy the scenic journey through the Gotthard region. This way, you can experience both the Bernina Express and the Gotthard Panorama Express on your trip.
Great question. Unattended free short and long term parking is available, except during stadium games or events when parking is $8.00 (reimbursable from Amtrak with the purchase of a train ticket). www.pacificsurfliner.com/destinations/anaheim/
Does the tunnel last about 20 minutes? I don't like tunnels. :) Was it bothersome to have strangers facing you in the seats in front of you? We will be travelling in early July, so I expect the train to be full. We may choose the single seats and face each other. Thank you for the information.
The tunnel lasts only about 5 to 10 minutes. Also, when I rode the train my wife and I had both rows of seats to ourselves, so we did not have to face directly across strangers. The trains can be packed with people, but during the time I went in August we had plenty of room. Sounds like you’re gearing up for an amazing trip. Switzerland is definitely a beautiful country and riding on the train is one of the best ways to explore it.
During my visit to Khao Yai it was the first time national parks had reopened during the pandemic. In this video I'm simply showing you a glimpse of different areas within the park to visit. Here is some basic information as it pertains to entrance fees and opening times: The park is open 6 am to 6 pm everyday all year round, vehicles already inside the park can leave on late hours. The entrance fees are 400 Baht for adults and 200 Baht for children, Thai citizens pay 40 Baht for adults and 20 Baht for children. As of March 2015, Thai driving licence, work permit or student card holders can't get in for Thai price.
When you book a ticket for the Gotthard Panorama Express the commentator stays with you the entire time on the train pointing out things of interest, provides historical information, and adds to the experience. During the steamboat ride there is not a commentator and you are free to sit anywhere on the boat. To book your ticket, you can use the SBB APP, and for more information about this route and the Gotthard Panorama Express you can visit: www.sbb.ch/en/leisure-holidays/holidays-switzerland/panorama-trips/gotthard-panorama-express/experience.html
Great question. Yes, the steamboat offers free luggage storage for carry on size luggage. If you’re planning to take the Gotthard Panorama Express, then the train part of the journey also offers free luggage transfer. Then your luggage can be retrieved at the train station in Lucerne.
Here is some advise if you plan on driving you Toyota on those rocky roads, dump the stock street tires, and get a good set of all terrian tires. Like Toyo, Nitto, etc. You want something with a strong sidewall too so you don't get flats when you drive over the rocks. Also, invest in a good pair of shocks too. That will help the performance on your Toy.
Thanks. Your points are well taken. When this video was made I have traveled to Death Valley over 10x with friends and in stock tires with my previous vehicle, which was a Subaru forester. However, I do understand the importance of having good tires, shocks, and even a lift, but the cost to do so is out of my budget. If you would like to donate, then I can provide you with my PayPay account!
Look online people are always selling their used tires. Also check 4wheel Parts. They always have sales going on. Good tires are the most important. I’ve been off roading for many years and rescued a lot of people driving with stock tires. The problem with stock tires is they are thin and have zero traction in the dirt. Stay safe and never go off roading solo unless you have a way to communicate off the grid
This trip ended up costing me a new windshield because of the sandstorm I drove through when exiting towards the main highway 395.@@OffRoadOverlandCamping
The key isn't all terrain per se but LT tires vs P metric. I am frequently in Saline and people with Subaru's are regularly splitting sidewalls. Airing down P metric tires is honestly a fools game.

The Great Park Balloon is one of the largest tethered helium (not hot air) balloons and the first of its kind in the United States. It is environmentally safe, non-polluting, and virtually silent. Standing 118 feet tall with a volume of 210,000 cubic feet, the Balloon flies 6 to 16 passengers at a time based on flight conditions. Flying at an altitude up to 400 feet, it is always tethered to the ground by a steel cable with the strength of 99,000 pounds, making it a safe and fun experience for everyone. It's rare that we experience high winds in Orange County, but if we did have high-speed winds then I would assume the balloon would not operate.
Thanks. I wanted to make a longer video about Griffith Park, but I was enjoying living in the moment with my family. So this is the 2 minute video that I managed to put together!
That’s a great question, but I’m not entirely sure if the Pra Nguen Market in Nonthaburi sells Indian curry leaves. However, there are a few small India spice shops on Soi 10 / Soi 12 / Soi 16 / Soi 18 in Bangkok. There is also an Indian grocery store in the Bangrak neighborhood of Bangkok called Nadia, which carries a variety of Indian spices. They might carry the curry leaves. Thanks. Yes, Railay Beach is a quiet and peaceful area for couples but also families looking for a more relaxed, laid back Island experience. The island also offers rock climbing opportunities and it’s a good place to use as a stopping off point on your way to nearby islands like Koh Hong.
@@ThairishTimes yeh, picture lifeguards and beachgoers, but the people on the beach are of a different “stature” shall we say when compared to the original show!
Hey would you be able to share what kind of shoes/footwear you guys are wearing and where to buy something similar? Everywhere online says you’re not allowed to wear any shoes/sandals on the island, so was wondering what would be allowed.
Great question. The water shoes I was wearing can be purchased from the shop of the boat toy company, Love Andaman, in Khao Lak. The link to the boat your company can be found in the video’s description.
