Thank you! I would strongly agree with you. Fortunately, there are a number of school divisions that have done exactly that. I hope we can continue to help Dale get his message out and get it into more and more schools. This was originally recorded as part of The Expert Series in our Confident Athlete Program, so it was only available to those members. But after we recorded it, we decided that we needed to make it public so that as many people as possible could hear Dale's message. Please share it with others. Thank you
Hey, I'd love to share some ideas with you! Since I can't send you a private message here and I don't want to ask you to post your email address publicly, send me an email at info@jeffheggie.com with "Committed" in the subject line and I'll reply to you there. Tell me a bit about yourself in the email.
Great, I'd love to share some things that you can use. Since I can't send you a private message here and I don't want to make you share your email address here in the public comments (unless you're ok with that), email me at info@jeffheggie.com with Committed in the subject line and I'll reply back to you. Are you an entrepreneur, athlete, other?
Yes, I apologize for that disconnect. This was a much longer video. My editor wanted to shorted it up for a short and when I listen to it, I completely understand where you're coming from with this comment.
You know, you're correct with this video. I had talked more about dealing with adversity but when my editor created this copy he shortened it and I see where you are coming from on this comment. Thanks for the feedback
What do you recommend if you still lack confidence after years of deliberate practice and effort in an area of your life? How do you overcome imposter syndrome
Great question. I believe that confidence is like any skill or muscle and you need to work on it daily. There are a number of different things you can do, but preparation and deliberate practice are just a piece of the puzzle. The other pillars you need to work on are your self talk, body language, and visualization. If you'd like some techniques that you can work on, reach out to me at jeff@jeffheggie.com. Tami Matheny has a great book that would help called The Confident Athlete (it's not just for athletes). You can get it at amzn.to/4aO2Z70 Hope this is a start for you and helps.
@@JeffHeggieSuccessCoachFinding your podcast was the first time I have read your name. Ari said you had quite a story, too. I will do some research later this week!. This was the third interview I have heard with Ari being the guest. I stumbled across a video on RU-vid. Yesterday, I listened to two of his podcasts. He had interesting guests. Take care, Jeff.
Hi I noticed your RU-vid channel and I'm impressed with your content. However, I believe there's a better way to publish your videos to reach a wider audience. As a RU-vid video promotion seo specialist , I can help you increase your views, engagement, and subscribers. Let's schedule a chat to discuss how I can help grow your channel!!
Yes, I would agree with you that this can be a problem. That's why when we first start working with an athlete we talk about why they are playing and who they are playing for. Because a lot are playing for their parent or coach, and not for themselves. We reflect on why they began in the first play... because it was fun! But there are a lot of kids that take their sport very serious and want to be the best than they can, but their own limiting beliefs and lack of self confidence are holding them back from reaching their full potential. We help them to overcome those limiting beliefs and develop powerful self confidence. And the reality is, regardless of how far they ever go in their sport, these are life lessons that will benefit them forever outside of their sport as well. Including the lessons of having fun and doing what you love.
