Thanks man. The car is a blast to drive, even if I do baby it a bit too much It’s still all stock so it could sound even meaner. I go back and forth on modifying the car. I wanted to keep it stock, but on the other hand I love what people can do to these terminators with a bit of work.

@@Justin_in_NC Gotcha, I mean it’s a really cool car regardless if it’s not modded at all. Honestly you really should keep it all stock so that way if you want to sell it in the future it will hold its value or even gain some. One mod you could do that would give you more performance is to upgrade the supercharger pulley so that way it whines a little louder and you get more horsepower. I own a 2004 Mazda RX8 all stock it’s in velocity red mica with a black leather interior 6-speed manual transmission and it’s a blast to drive. I don’t really baby my car because it’s a rotary engine and you have to redline it everytime you drive it to burn off all the carbon in the engine. If you didn’t know the rotary engine uses a lot of oil in its combustion process mainly to lubricate all the gaskets and such and to cool the engine some which is neat.

@@britishcarfan9601 my buddy in high school/college had an old Rx7 that was a blast to drive and ride in. How do you like the rx8? I’ve always liked the look of them a lot but I’ve never actually driven one. They look fun Yeah that’s kind of what I was thinking with the terminator, maybe a pulley swap for the blower, maybe some borla exhaust too but I really do want to keep it stock more or less. It’s getting… difficult to find terminators in factory condition these days. All of them out there seem to be modified or beat to hell and back, & I wanted something that could be my garage queen like this for a very, very long time. It is my dream car after all, I used to look at the black coupe in 03 before going to college but couldn’t afford so settled on a very nice steeda GT that I wish I had kept Have a good week, man! That 93 Teal Foxbody SVT Cobra won the contest outside. My brother and his girl were talking my head off then so it didn’t really make for good footage The foxbody is a weird mustang for me in that, I’ve always been an SN95 new edge fan myself so I wasn’t always big into the foxbody. But over time I really love them more and more every year. I’d love to have one to work on

Thank you man. I know I couldn’t open it up much with traffic and all but it is what it is there I’m going to try and film a bunch of highway footage next weekend if I’m able. I always seem to capture city driving which is always so stop and go, so next time I’m going to find a reason to take it on a road trip for an hour or so and get some really good footage.

Your car sounds so great. Really. Amazing sound. That new blower video sounded niiiice I think if I were to modify mine, that’s what I’d do. Swap out the intake and pulley for the charger, slap a louder borla exhaust on, and bam I saw a video on YT of some guy running 9 second 1/4 miles doing nothing but swapping the pulley and intake. Unbelievable

Same. I saw mine listed on eBay through a classic car dealership. When I clicked I saw it was literally 20 miles away from me and i couldn’t resist going to look.

I’m in Charlotte but familiar with Myrtle beach due to family… you think it’d be worth taking the cobra down to mustang week one year? Like she rolled off the factory floor in the last year or so I’m always blown away when I hear other cobras online with different pulley, chargers, exhausts, etc. I saw someone running 9 second 1/4 stock with just a pulley change. Insane… and the sound of the KB or VMP chargers are both unbelievably cool. Same for some of those borla exhausts It’s tempting. It really is. I do plan on keeping it stock but it is so tempting when I see all the great cobra stuff (like yours) out there and I totally get the temptation. I may cave someday on that front I also wasn’t going too hard on the car either since I’m on public streets, it was a casual drive, and I don’t need to beat up the car to show off. I really love the car and wanna take the best care of it possible. I’d like to still be driving my dream car in 10 years, not fondly remembering it Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend, have a good week man

They really are and I think they will only become more rare with time. I had been hunting a stock one in black coupe form for a long time now. It’s hard to find one that isn’t modified, beat up, etc. I completely get it with those mods. The Borla sounds incredible, every time I hear one I want to switch. Same for the charger pulley. It’s insane when can be done with just a few relatively easy modifications. For now, I’m going to resist the temptation but I’d prolly do something exactly like your set up honestly. Just a fan of that Borla sound

Thank you very much man, she’s been my (realistic) dream car a long time. I went to look at black and sonic blue in 03 going off to college but couldn’t afford them at the time. Years later, it became hard to find an unmodified, clean one that wasn’t beat to hell I found it at a consignment dealership for classic cars nearby Charlotte, Streetside classics. Every 6 months or so for years now I’d do a hunt for them online, and always would find an excuse not to get it like mileage, modifications, wrong color, 2500 miles away, etc… but I saw my black one with 12.5k miles at a classic car dealership like 30 miles away. With it being that close, I took it as my sign from whatever that this was the time. I suspect they’ll continue to become harder to find as time goes on

I’ll try and upload some new and better quality videos this weekend, and will double check the GoPro angle too As for the car, it’s a 1 owner (2 now with me) clean title/history, all stock, garage queen with 12.9k miles. She drives every bit as good as she sounds, like she rolled off the factory floor yesterday. You can’t help but grin ear to ear every time you drive it

Your time will come I looked at this exact style (03 cobra coupe in black) at my ford dealership for months before college back in 03 but had to settle for a gt since myself as an 18 year old in 2003 couldn’t afford a cobra but I always vowed to get one in that style and color My main obstacle was finding one that hasn’t been modified to hell and back, or beat up with 200 hard miles I’ve been seeing a lot of terminators lately sold for parts. Makes you wonder if there’s a really cheap termi out there in need of some tlc, or a deal on a salvage title terminator that could be repaired and restored.

I always wanted one in this exact color, year, and style but couldn’t afford one when I was 18 I’d check every 6-7 months but they’d be usually run down with 200-300k miles, beat to hell with wrecks, modified up and down, wrong colors, etc Finding one near me in factory condition, garage kept, at a consignment showroom in this condition was too tempting to say no to. I’d have never got another shot at it realistically Which corvette is your dream car? I love corvettes too. Corvettes are some of the coolest cars ever made. My friends dad growing up had a 90s c4 model that was a real joy to ride in. Never got old to cruise in that car. You’ll have your dream corvette one day my friend.

@@chevyno1740yeah, I tried to talk myself out of spending on a weekend car since it was unnecessary but on the other hand, I’d have never got another shot at an 03 coupe black cobra terminator in this kind of condition. It was sort of a moment that if I passed, I knew I’d regret it forever. This was prolly the last real chance at my dream car. The day after I put down the down payment, 2 separate buyers came to buy it It was easy to dismiss finding one that was close to what I wanted but not quite when it was like 3000 miles away, but when I found exactly what I had spent a decade+ looking for in this condition only like 30 miles from me, I had to go check it out and glad I did As for corvettes, I mean… what guy doesn’t like a corvette? I’ve always thought they are the best looking American cars made. Not only do they kick a ton of ass on the road with their performance, but damn do they look good doing it

@@Justin_in_NC WOW!! My best friend here has an '03 Terminator also but he's changed quite a bit on it, including the blower. It is as insane as it is beautiful! Although I am a Chevy man and love to give a good ribbing now and then, I've always had respect for Mustangs. Enjoy and take care as well.

⁠@@chevyno1740the biggest problem with mustangs isn’t typically the car but typical mustang drivers. It’s why the term “pulling a mustang” exists amongst car enthusiasts describing idiotic wipeouts. I even heard Doug demuro say that test driving the terminator, and as a mustang guy all you can do is laugh at it Always been a ford guy but I’m also a car guy and I’m more than willing to admit when a mustang model doesn’t hit the mark and why. I think, for me, the terminator and the cobra R were the 2 iconic mustangs of my generation

@@chevyno1740modern cars do most of the driving, vs earlier cars where you become one with the vehicle and in tune with it I’ve got a Tesla model x as our family car, and it’s great for city life and weekly driving, but the car babysits you I took a Ferrari and lambo around a track a few years ago and both were great, amazing vehicles, but they had modern paddle shifters that were practically automatic. I wanted a more visceral experience than that, where as it almost felt like a jet pilot cockpit. Great but so modernized it didn’t feel like what I envisioned like an f40 or a countach would Btw, my buddy had a late 90s Camaro SS back when. That car was always a blast to drive or ride around in. I always liked that sleek look more than modern Camaro design

My plan is to keep it all factory (minus repairs when needed) & treat it as my dream weekend car It is as close to factory as I’ll ever find for a terminator. She drives so healthy too I feel incredibly fortunate to have found it

I spent roughly 10k more than that between the car (40ish) and then another 3-5 on Hagerty insurance, another form of mechanical warranty for older cars just in case, etc More than what the car costs when it released in 03, back when I used to stare at it in the showroom (this exact color, year, and model) but it’s so hard to find terminators in near mint condition with low mileage and no aftermarket modifications. I absolutely love that car. She was worth the wait

@@itzFitz300that was basically my argument for the car to the wife when I was going back n forth on whether to pull the trigger on the purchase On the one hand, I already have a fantastic city car for the wife and kids and family (a model X. Adore it. Trading it in was never an option given family life) On the other, an 03 terminator in near factory condition, clean history, with less than 13k miles in the color and style I wanted doesn’t come along often. Not without compromise I didn’t want one that had been modified up and down, I didn’t want one that had been wrecked up, or with like 300k hard miles on it Finding one that hit every criteria was difficult. I probably searched every 5-7months, and would dismiss decent searches cuz they’d be like 3000 miles away For this last search, it was at a classic car dealership 30min from my home. At that distance, I had to look at it and glad I did. 2 people tried to purchase it the week after I did
