Wicked Little Town (Hedwig Version) The Breeders 2 Comments 0 Tags Play "Wicked Little Town…" on Apple Music One, two, here we go.... I know the sun is in your eyes And hurricanes and rain, And black and cloudy skies. And running up and down that hill You turn it on and off at will There's nothing here to thrill, Or bring you down. And if you've got no other choice, You know you can follow my voice Through the dark turns and noise Of this wicked little town. Oh Lady Luck has lead you here. And they're so twisted up, They'll twist you up, I fear. The pious, hateful and devout You're turing tricks 'til you're turned out The wind so cold it burns, You're burning out, blowing round. And if you've got no other choice, You know you can follow my voice Through the dark turns and noise Of this wicked little town. Aah, aah... Aah, aah... The fates are vicious and they're cruel. You learn too late, You used two wishes like a fool. And then you're someone you are not, And Junction City ain't the spot, Remember Mrs. Lot and when she turned around. And if you've got no other choice, You know you can follow my voice Through the dark turns and noise Of this wicked little town.
Oh man, I really wish songs like these would make a comeback. Well that's okay because it starts with me. I'm currently trying to form a band of sweet musicians like the Apples, and this is the sound I wanna play. I'm more for children's music, power pop, sunshine pop, folk rock, and baroque pop. I'm going to call ourselves "Sunny Fun Playhouse", and anyone who is interested in playing with me is more than welcome to join. Otherwise, wish me luck if you will. #SunnySoundComeback
I heard the ending to this song over and over so many times thinking the lyric said " the little dog turns at noises, wicked little town" because I was so into my imaginations representation of the song. I pictured a little dirty stray following the young person around and so skittish it would turn its head at any sound. That was years ago and noticed in a comment posting the lyrics it did not end this way. I will continue with my ending if it's cool with everyone.
No new construction can include drive through windows; there are a smattering still grandfathered in. There is a desolate fast food shell on Nicollet Ave that I believe they won't tear down because it has a drive-through. Someone could theoretically buy it, renovate it, and have a building with a legal drive-through.
