I saw BB King live in a small downtown club in the early to mid 80s. He sat with our group at a table after the show. He was a fierce player but a gentle man.
I was in the audience at this show , sure wish I could find the whole taping of that show….I was 20 at the time , next month I turn 60, crazy that 40 years has passed….
Night Flight was good for random post modern stuff like this. But the best part to me was when they showed Target Video stuff or New Wave Theater. It web from punk to hardcore to way, way beyond that with stuff like Pussy Galore, Skinny Puppy and teh Residents. I was already into Black Flag and Dead Kennedys but have to thank Nigh Flight for showing stuff we normally dont get wind of in the flyover states.
I remember seeing this when it first aired, Leno was on fire and Dave just kept throwing alley-oops for slam dunks! Bill Burr definitely took a page out of Letterman’s and Leno’s book with what I call “Venting Rant Interviews”!
Just goes to show you if you ever start talkin' outta LINE about Elizabeth the Macho-Man just may dump CANDY ON YOUR HEAD! Randy ALMOST cracks up when calling Gene a head waiter because Gene Okerlund with the tux on totally looks like a maitre'D of a restaurant.
I knew of this while serving in the USN in my first hitch in San Diego, CA. It was available on cassette. I had it but I had eventually discarded them. I never thought I would see the day that I would be seeing this again! (note: Fire on High and The Beatles Rain song were intentional. but, this and others were 'natural' and not 'on purpose' at all). so, how was it found out?
The funny sound made as Macho is sitting down @2:42!!😂. I love that Miss Elizabeth found it funny too and how she turned to Alfred to laugh with him!(away from Machos view, of course) 🙏Rest In Peace Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth… Al
