Welcome to my channel! :) My name is SCaffa and I'm a Game Developer and Collector. My focus is on retro games from the 80's and 90's but also collect games for later generations.
I don't recommend the SNES port of the first Samurai Shodown. If you can't play it on original hardware (Neo Geo AES or Neo Geo CD), the closest port (at the time of its release) came out for the 3DO and later there was a compilation in Japan for the PlayStation named Samurai Spirits: Kenkaku Shinan Pack containing Samurai Shodown 1 and 2 on one disc that was pretty good but now I recommend to just pick up Samurai Shodown Anthology for the PS2 / PSP / Wii since it has all the games from 1 to 6 and play it on a CRT TV without input lag.
loving it, man! dont know if you hear this enough but how you organize your collection is truly impressive. also missing your presence on twitch and discord PS: nice hoodie at 16:00
Great video and nice finds. I was in Hoogeveen as well with my childeren. It was great to see so many like-minded people there. I picked up Dead Man's Hand, Batman Vengeance and Sid Meijer's Pirates on the original Xbox. We had a great morning.
It is because pal game covers and title names are translated into many languages, and by just using a simple font on the spine its easier to Rename the titles in a different language
I will try to keep it short and focus on the ps2 titles, otherwise its going to be a long answer. Castlevania and MMX8 are from cex, just got super lucky. Had a assumption that Gradius was from the same collection, due to shop location and timing. So when I saw the condition of those two I also ordered Gradius. Had a cex voucher so didnt pay full price. The other two came from somewhere else.
@@KrisVickers-wn6dd Yeah pretty cool but havent had the time to play much more of it. Perhaps I should record a let’s play someday and show more gameplay.
@@KrisVickers-wn6dd My absolute favourite console is the NES. But the 360 is up there due to its library and it’s just a fascinating generation in regard to how games were designed and how those evolved.
Fatal Inertia is mediocre at best and not worth paying too much for because there are so many better futuristic racing games for other systems: Any F-Zero, any Wipeout, any Fast (Racing League, Racing Neo or RMX), any Extreme-G, Scorcher, Quantum Redshift, etc.
@@arioca For sure and thats a proper list of excellent racing games. Besides FZero and Wipeout I personally really like Extreme-G, N64 and Gamecube versions👍
1 cent voucher, that would be hilarious.🤣 I've got that Top Gun Hard Lock game CIB myself a few months ago for a small price at a flea market. I didn't even know that is was a 35 euro game, but just checked Pricecharting, it's already 70 euro now. 🤔 The frustrating thing is that people will now price their games accordingly on Marktplaats and other platforms, which is a bit of a bummer. I've also seen that with games I'm still looking for.
Nice video. Agree on TMNT, it made me even not finish the game. I did really liked Dead to Rights 2, nice action and makes you really think about what you should do.
sf x tekken is a nice game I wish I kept my copy because I don't think I'll find it around pawn shops or fb marketplace I ended up trading it for ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 because I thought that more suited my play style a lot more speed but the fair height float combos to sf x t is easier to play and it's nice relaxation
I just found this channel and can i just say im so impressed by the production quality of your videos, the sound, the video and the commentary all 10/10. i will like your videos i hope youtube algo pushes it to more people , very much deserved.
I often wonder why some used games are missing the manual when I see them in stores. What did the original owner that bought the game brand new do with the manual or how did he lose it to begin with? 🤔
I got Masters of the Universe : He-Man Defender of Grayskull just for the cover art and the nostalgia I have for the series. Three hours to get to Tilburg, just curious, where are you from?
Hey Stephan, leuke video! Leuk om te zien dat Ogre Battle een goeie plek heeft gekregen in je collectie. Moest zelf ook 3 uur rijden naar Tilburg.. kom je ook uit het Noorden dan? Groetjes Mark
I know Masters of the Universe : He-Man Defender of Grayskull isn't supposed to be a good game but I always wanted to play it and it wasn't released in the US. I have both Red Ninja: End of Honor and The Suffering for the original Xbox and I really enjoy them.
@@arioca I did not know that! Crazy that it never got released over there. I do think it’s a game I would have enjoyed playing when I was younger but will definitely check it out more later.
As an Irish Person I gotta say, Cex fell off. They used to be even cheaper and had tons of great stuff, and now they even buy games for less than gamestope
Ah interesting to hear! I only know cex since a couple of months. It is still nice that at least there is a way to get some second hand games in a store but shame to hear that cex was better in the past.
Space Marine 2 comes out in a couple days in the US. Never played the first game but the environments in the second game look stunning. I might have to check it out
@@WolfGaming1995ITRueConsoleWars Yeah stupidly quick! Never seen this before either. My guess is that prices will go down to some extent similar as 3ds and ps3 games and slowly rise back up again. Nevertheless some prices are nuts 😅
Kudos for having the resolve to stick to a number for your shelf - I feel like I'd be all too tempted to keep bumping up that number and would be unwilling to let things go! Love the approach and thanks for sharing!
I do store the games in boxes though, it’s not that I sell them once they leave the shelf. But will probably sell them later on if I really don't play them:) Hope I didn't give the wrong impression:) It is getting harder to select games from the shelf that Im willing to remove, thats for sure 😅
That looks like a sweet copy of Blur SCaffa. That R-Type sticker on the label looks like a challenge. I too enjoy the restoration of every game I pick up and my go to for stickers/anything sticky or gooey is lighter fluid (Here in a little yellow bottle). Just a dab on a cotton swab does a good job on the remaining residue. ...I'm guessing you have good methods as well. -Be happy and well dude.
I have heard about the lighter fluid trick, I should test that out someday. Thanks for the reminder👍Currently mostly use isopropyl alcohol 99,9% and that does often do the trick. Will probably record the proces on video or at least post some photos 🙂
I'm not big into fighting games myself but i definitely clicked with tekken... especially tekken 3.. but all games onwards are must play...when you learn few combos and get to understand the game you'll defo love it
For sure, I returned it so problem is solved luckily 👍 Briefly considered searching for a box only version but that is always a hassle. The search continues! :D
Bought this game for 8 Euro. As a kid i had golden axe on my sega. I really loved Part 1 - 3. Played it a lot with my friends. Golden axe beast rider is okay. 6/10. Last year i Bought the sega megadrive classic collection for my ps5. Now i can play golden axe 1-3 with my son :-)
Awesome collection! dear me though man, finished or play your games 😂 "I have not played it much, I have not finished it" I really want to try dead space. have you played chronicles of riddick for 360? it's great.
I'm somewhat selective about the games that I finish, due to lack of time for example or if I had my fill of the game and no longer need to see more of it :) Either i'm too busy with game development or work.
Razor's Edge is definitely the improved version. Only problem is the game itself still feels unbalanced and cheap at times. It can be very frustrating toward the end.
@@Obbie40 Good to hear! After the recording I read about the health system and how this compares to the prior versions. Will play more but I have a feeling I prefer the first Xbox version😃
