You have to remember throughout history if a parent wanted to make a point to someone harassing their kid, a “strong talk” could scare the shit out of them. This was the first time in recorded history where you wouldn’t really even know the harassers faces. Even worse it was many anonys doing it within the entire world. Millennial parents luckily can recognize what can and can’t work within the technological boundaries with bullies. Even then there will be more issues someday regarding a technological disconnect between generations.
