If the Phillips screw won't come loose, before you strip it: Heat the light with a hot air gun around the screw, and it will come loose easily. Does anyone know the purpose of the resistor in parallel with the switch? It is too large to dim the bulb, there is only enough power left to it to make it a hand warmer for a mouse. I can't figure what purpose it serves?? Does it make the bulb less sensitive to bumps?
