Hi Dr Anna, will all the rotations we get be in 1 hospital or will they be spread over different hospitals in the deanery? Also, do we get to see all the rotations available in a deanery before we rank the deaneries?
Saturation is real. with 1 yr of NHS experience doctors are struggling to get a job. The main point is have a plan B and not hold your career progression and not solely focus on junior docotrs job in the U.K
I’ve been looking on every website. There’s literally nothing that doesn’t need prior experience. I’ve submitted over 20 applications. Not one interview. So it is saturated. There’s not even any posts available rn
is it really hard to get into training jobs [CST/IMT"CT1"] like the average years I'm gonna work in service Jobs is really that much till I'd bee accepted in training as most are claiming [4Years]?
Refer to these: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-laTsjIQMRJg.htmlsi=ZByiu7EyAjkp00-B ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J2xF9i_VOg0.htmlsi=1PTghLPMb7E0Oc8t Every speciality has a different competition ratio, it is very easy to get into psych, GP and for IMT a bit more work but easily achievable. Surgery and any surgical allied field is harder however with more work it is also possible.
hello dr anna, so once you accept a job in your preferred deanery ,they wont switch it to another afterwards right ?like during any part of your training?
Really great video.. I had a doubt regarding the crest form So I was working in a hospital from 2/5/22- 1/5/24. I wanted to get my crest form signed from consultant but in between I took leave for observership and plab 2 So I have the experience with consultant from 1/7/23- 17/10/23 and from 18/10/23- 18/1/24 I was in UK for plab 2 Then again experience from 19/1/24- 1/5/24 So should I mention the experience from 1/7/23 to 1/5/24 or should I mention it twice with the gap visible? Really confused about this...pls help with this query
@@DoctorAnnaa THANKS FOR THE REPLY DOC. Yes i was employed for 2 years and to mention .. it was not a rotation rather working in the OPD and attending on calls after the OPD timings.. so should i mention both or any of these is fine..?
Hi doctor Anna, can you make videos on how to write good supporting information? I’ve been trying to land a job since 1 year and I still haven’t received a single interview. It kinda makes me want to give up on this whole process. 😢
Really good video. You burst UK saturation bubble. Actually WAKE UP LOOK AROUND YOUR,u will find every place is saturated & you have to make your own way to get into anything.
I have completed my post in july 2023. So what should i mention as completion date. Is it the date of signature - july 2024 or it is in july of 2022. Please help me with this query.
So three of my consultants have expired pmdc, because in Pakistan no one really checks , it's just about paying the five yearly fee really, to up date it. One of my consultant has applied for renewal of pmdc, shall I attach the old plus applied for copies?
Thanks. I have a question regarding the upgrade. Upgrade can only happen once or may step up multiple times? For example, if we get an offer for our 5th rank, then our 4th and 3rd ranks become available, which one we will be offered?
Correct. There is a shuffle every 24-48 hours, it happens 2-3 times only depending on speciality. Once the deadline closes no more shuffling and posts go empty that were left unfilled. I’ll explain more in an upcoming video.
There is non training jobs for GP and psych plus they won’t really help with understanding the NHS, unless you want to them as your choice of specialist training.
Hey. Does FY2 has any link with crest form signing? If i cant get it signed in my country then i will do FY2 and signed it in uk or i can apply for non training job?
GMC guidance is good medical practice and they also release separate awareness documents. Refer to the video about the sjt book I have explained there further.
Thanks so much for this timely video, currently in the same position, not much on CV, yet to write Plab 2 though. But will keep believing despite the discouraging news flying around
It really helped! You mentioned psych and GP, there is no msra in IMT as well. We can enter IMT directly on paper, but is it practical or doable? Thank you
Glad it helped. Psych and GP both need MSRA. IMT I think doesn’t need it but do confirm. Anything is doable if you accept the challenges. It won’t be easy, I won’t recommend it. Because portfolio building can be tricky for ST4 Medicine specialities, if you haven’t done a trust grade year and learned the ropes well.
Thank you !! Just a quick question…I will finish 2 years postgraduate internship in Japan by March 2027. Am i eligible to apply for MSRA exam in November 2026 window? I will have finished my 2year internship by the time the post starts which is probably in August 2027, but will i be eligible to apply as i wont have finished internship by the time of application? Thank you so much! 😊

thank you so much for your video. I would like to ask you: what type of jobs do people usually apply for as a non-training job once Full Registration is provided?
