Yup that's an actual recording. I watched a video on the Niagara's and it had the same sound but with A. Little bit of a deeper pitch. It sounded the same but with a little bit of a deeper pitch. I knew it.
Popular theory is since they weren't a PRR original design the PRR didn't bother considering any for preservation. Least that's what I heard. It'd make sense. There's rumors 1 is buried near a former PRR yard (now NS owned) but pretty sure it's a farse.
