I had this horn for 7 years, very sturdy and sweet sounding. Has blue steel springs just like pro horns. Would highly recommend for any pro looking for a backup horn, or a student who’s needs a semi-pro sax without all the “extras”.
I've played many trevor james horns and even own the Signature Custom Raw XS alto. From my experience, I imagine Bailey might say the horn is great. I feel as though it's easy to go between tone colors, the intonation is very good, and the response/feel is top tier (for me at least).
in your honest openion does eb fork key shut makes it worse or better? I have it reversed but I'm interested in making it working back again to see the tonal difference
I found a rather thorough video on the cigar cutter from Selmer. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E_HrdDmoWKQ.htmlsi=eoJqufOBcG_EdwD4 What is the Serial Number? Would you get a video/picture of the octave mechanism to give us a better understanding of this is one of the few that actually has the “cigar cutter” looking thing or if it has one of the few new (at-the-time) interlocking votive mechanisms) Thanks!
Beautiful horn, beautiful playing. My son now has 4 horns from JL Woodwinds. I’m broke but the offspring is happy as a clam! 2 JL horns, 1 Selmer, and 1 King.
Well played, mate - give us your name in the intro, will do a great deal for JW. Also, after soaking those reeds, strap on a mic plsss🙏 the ambient sound is great, but for a play test on a vintage, we gotta have full in-mic options 👍🙏
1st: Solid skills and great vid 2nd: I had a preference for the 62, liked the 82z's warmth and was impressed by the 480 and its value for money. 3rd: Even if the key action and ergonomics were very different on each horn, which I doubt, I'd say the differences are negligeable and I couldn't hear anything that'd encourage me to spend an extra 2k or 3k for the 82z. Maybe if I played it, it'd be a different story.
I have a mark6 soprano sax It's in mint condition original liquor series number in the 52000s. original case it was bought when i was 14 years i have had it for over 40 years now. HOw would I go to appraise it
