I'm a full time pet and wildlife artist with 20+ years of experience. Over the years - through my trials, errors, and loads of practice - I've developed methods and techniques for working in both oil paints and my new love, graphite on drafting film, that enable me to create life-like portraits of animals bursting with character and personality. I'm hoping my lessons, tips and tricks will not only inspire you, but also aid you in reaching your own artistic goals.
Hey! Thank you for this video. I’ve been using coloured pencils for pet portraits on drafting film and wondered about grafite pencils so this is great. Have you tried charcoal? Wondering about charcoal powder now too. Might give that a go. Looks brilliant! I’m also wondering about the magic eraser working with colour pencils. You’ve given me food for thought now so thank you 😊
I enjoyed your tips. Thanks for taking your time to record this. I have not actually used brushes on film, but have used the slice tool and the tombow, along with stumps.
