I'm hoping Manie gets a start and has a cracker with both ball in hand and the kicking tee. That just adds to the depth at Flyhalf then. Will see what happens when Rassie names the team later on.
Hopefully he’s there to prepare a young team and to assist with waterboy duties on match day. I might be very wrong, let’s see what Rassie does when he names the lineup.
Thanks for the comment. I really hope they don’t I think it’s his third concussion this year. For player welfare I hope we rest him for the rest of the year.
I got an answer to your last question. The thing is most Kiwi’s really dont like us. The hate runs deep. Anywho THEY WILL NOT follow or copy anything we do. Including using any bomb squad tactics or the way we use the bench. The thinking behind it is. If the AB’s use our tactics they admit the Bokke is better than the AB’s cause they tactics sucks balls and have to steal other countries ideas. The sheer arrogance by some……not all is astonishing. Yet there is some kiwi out there that’s ringing the alarm 🚨 bells. And it just falls on death ears. New Zealand rugby refuses to adapt. They had a huge injection of money, 6 months late everything was blown. And they have nothing to show for it. Rugby is on a serious decline in NZ. Participation levels tanked, because mommy and daddy doesnt want their little babies to get hurt. They style of rugby they playing in Super Rugby doesnt win you games in the real world. Mark my words because i predicted wat happened. The AB’ and Wallebies is going to dump the Rugby championship and join the Pacific’s Nation Cup with the US Canada Japan Tonga Samoa and Fiji. The Springboks and Argentina will head north to the 6 nations
That’s a massive stat 12/13 penalties conceded on defence versus 5/14 on defence for the Boks. I always say yellow cards should be dealt only on penalties conceded on defence and not on attack - unless it is could play that is dangerous. How do they keep their players on the field when they give away 12 defensive penalties, you’d expect a yellow card count of 3 to the ABs and 1 to the Boks.
You make a good point. Will have to look at when the referee gave them a warning and see if any penalties were conceded after the warning to give an accurate answer. Thanks for the comment!

The best was seeing 232 cap bench outperform the 408 cap bench. Hendrikse was the surprise for me, he over delivered and probably gave the best 9 performance of any Bok 9 this year. Well played Mr Hendrikse! Perenara was again a liability for the ABs.
I’d prefer if all refs either penalised players for shouting at them or first gave them a very firm warning similar to how Nigel Owens puts loud mouthed players in their place. I remember when he told one player “I don’t think we’ve met but I’m the referee, not you!” And then told the player what would happen if they kept shouting at him. I think it was Wayne Barnes who immediately sent off the captain of Leicester in a final for calling him a “$&%£+*% cheat”.
Rassie’s thinking with Squad positioning is SPOT ON ‼️ The weak link in the AB’s setup is in the backline, when the pressure is up With the top firing power in experience being in the Bokke starting setup now, the pressure upon the AB’s will be immense right from the word go So, it is NOT going to be easy, it is a watershed Test Game WAR this ~ in more ways than one⁉️‼️ MASSIVE💫🥂 (great presentation, thanks kindly) 🪖 🇿🇦 🏉 🍷
Backchat Perenara : It should *always* be penalised - not only that, the referee should advance 10 metres forward for the penalty, at the first instance, and if the backchat/shouting continues (as it did the first time Perenara backchatted, and was let off by the ref - the penalty was after he was warned a previous time), advance forward another 10 metres. *All* referees *must* apply this law : Those who don't, should face disciplinary action from WR, similar to any other glaring referee mistakes (they have their own backroom non-public procedures for this). Only the captain/vice-captain if necessary, should *ever* be allowed to speak to the referee. This is rugby, not soccer ! Real men just play on - pussies bitch back at the referee.
Happy to find your videos. On TJ, we can’t judge fairness without knowing what players are told before the game/competition. There’s a clear crackdown on 9s in the RC so they were very likely warned. If not, it’s unfair.
During a yellow card - a penalty will eat up 60 seconds whilst a lineout will eat 3 to 4 minutes and together with attrition factors ( we were 1 back down) so taking a penalty will give the opposition 69 seconds to rest … I’m sure Dr Rassie has more science to this. Love the detail thanks
When Fassi was off, it is possible that we went for touch BECAUSE Fassi was off. Try for more points because it keeps us down that side of the field for longer. If you take the penalty, ninety seconds later sees you potentially defending in your own 22 with a man down. None of us know what Rassie's brain is doing lol, but I remember this kind of forward planning with Jake White in the 2007 RWC, although then it was more what to do in the final minutes.
Please check / have a closer look to your second double banking incident . The kiwi player makes contact with the ball carrier. So that cant be double banking. The boks player was on the side of the kiwi.
TJ's shouldn't have been a penalty, just a warning. Was particularly harsh as the All blacks were in a strong attacking position and TJ was reacting to a SA player who interfered with the ball slowing down the attack as they were getting out the way at the back of the ruck. The ref was too inexperienced for such a big game imo
Like your analysis. As for not having a lock replacement on the bench , both Pieter steph an nortje are 80 min players .So Rassie will shift Pieter Steph to lock if needed
It was not a red card. The TMO looked at it and came back with a decision of nothing more than a penalty. This was dealt with in the game and the Boks were given the option of where to take the penalty from because they already had a penalty awarded. As we saw with Siya and Eben in the RWC and Malcolm against Aus, not every head contact is an automatic red and in my opinion, head contacts in the RC have been dealt with a lot less severely than they are in URC / EPRC. Malcolm for instance would almost certainly have been red carded for that Australia head contact if the game was in the URC.
@Karma-qt4ji Nonsense. They missed it. Head contact in a tackle is always a yellow card, according to the rules, and then is referred to the bunker. Agree it wasn't a red card, otherwise the match official would've cited. But don't pretend it was reviewed.
@@Tomk79rhby At 48:51 (game time), Sacha was standing in front of the referee with ball in hand waiting to take the penalty. Referee said in his comms 'just a penalty is it?', then turned to Siya and said you have two options, adding that "we don't need to review". He then called turned to the All Blacks (Scot B) and said, "it was a high tackle by seven, okay. It's a penalty only we need to go lower". The game is still on RU-vid - go and see for yourself. It was 100% dealt with whether you like the decision or not. Remember the bleating from the Scottish about Jesse Kriel's head on head with one of their guys in the opening game? The contact happened, there was not even a penalty awarded and you're here saying that every head contact is a yellow card???
@Karma-qt4ji You first said that it was reviewed by the TMO. Now you said that the ref said it didn't need to be looked at. So which is it. That was my point. They missed the head contact. And it wasn't reviewed. Yes. Head contact in a tackle meets a minimum yellow card threshold every time unless a player falls into a tackle or something like that. If you don't know that, you haven't been watching. It was introduced to try and stamp that sort of thing out for player safety. So dishonest to point at past examples where it wasn't picked up to try to prove a point. In those instances the ref/TMO missed it too.
@@Tomk79rhby drop the semantics and stop playing the victim, boet. The TMO advised the referee that the incident was a penalty only, the referee advised both sides. What more do you want? "or something like that" ..... hmmmm, so the referee himself called a "fell into that" in one of the moves leading up to Kwagga's try and you don't have a problem, but the TMO looks at something, advises the referee that it was a penalty only, the referee tells both sides of the decision and you're not happy that a card wasn't shown? This is a JK argument - whinge about the TMO when they do their job and whinge about the TMO when they allegedly don't. We actually WANT the TMO to be in the background, taking care of these things without having to constantly stop the game. We were on the front foot, had built up some tidy momentum, so why would we want the game to be stopped so we could all have a look at an impact that YOU think should have been carded? I am going to assume you have at least watched the incident a couple of times, so do not believe that the officials standing there taking 5 minutes to look at an incident on the big screen would in any way alter your opinion - it would merely have pissed off the crowd. Also, in the context of this thread, and in light of the fact that I have proven to you that they did not miss it as you originally said, why are you now changing your argument? They saw it, TMO looked at it, came back with "penalty only" so if you can't trust in the process then at least trust that the Boks are now at a place where they can play to the whistle without throwing their hands up in the air like some of their fans.
TJ just needs to keep his mouth shut. He's lippy in Super rugby too. Apparently, he didn't swear or name call the ref, so if that's correct, then I think it shouldn't have been a penalty. With the shock clock, apparently, the time we see is indicative and can vary to what the officials/ref time is. Your kicking stats highlight how obvious it is that the ABs need to keep ball in hand if they want to beat the Boks. It was excruciating to watch Beaudy kick the ball away in the 78 & 79th minute last week. Good clear explanation on the double banking rule, I've read a lot of comments asking what it's all about. Keep up the good work. Cheers 🍻.
The missed point about Sacha's shot clock was he didn't think it was on coz 1. The ABs were still with the ref checking on try and 2. The water people were walking towards him as he set the ball. He didn't think the ref had started counting down.
@user-vs2hr1wq8d Yeh, I agree. It looked/sounded like there was some genuine confusion from Sasha. Ref was sh#thouse for both sides. What a 10 he's going to be for you guys, to play like he did last week @ 22 yrs of age....scary. Enjoy the game. Cheers 🍻
Think a I'd give Jesse a 4/10. Poor defense, poor passing, poor handling. All round terrible. By far the worst player on the field that day. Hoping Rassie goes with Am next weekend. Fassi I'd give a 5, since I'm pretty sure his play directly resulted in at least 2 AB tries. Sure, he's a new player, but still he played poorly. I'm pretty sure Willie will be on the bench this weekend.
Definitely wasn't his best game in for the Boks. I think Willie and Am might both be pulled into the match day 23 for this weekend. Squad announcement tomorrow, I can't wait!
