Really loved this video and learning about your process. Do you have anything that goes into how you came up with the original drawing/ painting that you began this video with? Would love to try something along these lines.
thanks -- unfortunately, I didn't film the resolution of this but there is another short video abstracting landscape 2 in which I explain some of my decisions as I finished it.
Hi Alison….I realize this video is 3 yrs old…But there is no age to art and learning. I love your videos….you take time…explain and your work is beautiful. This video has shown me so many techniques…….some I already knew but seeing how YOU use them makes a huge difference. The masking product used with glazing is wonderful. So helpful!! Paint transfer…I know….but as it was presented here it came across knew to me. I love it all…you video…your help has given me new feeling to my art. Thank you so much. Now I’ll watch your other videos and be inspired!!❤❤🤗🤗 Charlotte
It will be very nice to see the next steps you take with this piece. After your last video, I purchased Pebeo and cannot wait to try it soon. Thank you.
I liked the red! You aren't finished yet so I don't know what you'll do, but I kept thinking of Iron oxide. I love earthy rusts, reds and blacks w/ off whites, greys, etc. Yes! That is gorgeous!! Love the finished piece!
I have recently ‘discovered’ you and am enjoying watching your videos. I really like both your style of painting and how you teach. Have you made another video showing the next steps in these sunflower paintings? Or maybe you’ve got a photo of the finished paintings…? Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.
Love the start of your new oceanscape and I love the alteration you made to the older painting you weren’t happy with! The 2 examples you showed were gorgeous, so moody! Looking forward to the next video!💕🇨🇦
I like a roller tool also, but I think I prefer a brayer. Brayers are rubber, don't absorb the paint so don't need reloading as often. Of course, also give a different texture. Thanks for this video--I enjoy your teaching style, ideas and process.
Joan, I cannot thank you enough! I’ve always wanted to be an artist. My parents were quite discouraging and having grown up in a dysfunctional home. I just really didn’t have the wear with All to pursue that. So here I am at a very young 67 I have the time to paint and I have been painting. I love abstract, and I’m so delighted to come apart upon you. You have a wonderful teaching method. Sharing the rationale behind your actions can’t thank you enough truly you’ve changed the course of my development as an artist.
You've given me so many things to try! I love this! By the way, did you ever try turning the painting upside down now and then? Might find some more hidden treasures that way. (Not that this needs improvement in any way.) Thanks for the great tutorial!
Thank you Alison for everything you share on this channel. I can’t express how much I appreciate you sharing your tutorials and artist’s interviews. They are all fantastic resources for all aspiring artists and lucky me I found you here on RU-vid. 😊😊🎉
Great tips and theckniques ❤❤❤ Just lovely ❤ Hope you visit my art channel as well. I think you might like it. Let's stay connected. 🙌 Have a beautiful and inspirational day! 🌸
It is such a treat watching you paint. I love the way you show your color mixing and how you push parts back and bring other things forward. Thanks so much!
Wow that’s gorgeous. Love the mix of exciting lines and bigger blocks of colour. Great to see the range you achieve with such a limited pallet. Off to the garden now to see what it can offer! Thank you
Thanks so much for this enlightening video. I learned a ton and I’m going to go use it right now. I appreciate you sharing these videos. I feel like I’m finally learning to paint. 😊
