Ruby's Rainbow is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is dedicated to the higher educational needs of adults with Down syndrome. It was started shortly after our second daughter, Ruby, was born rockin' an extra chromosome. We were inspired by her sweet spirit and determination to do something extraordinary to help those like her reach their highest potential. Our mission is to grant scholarships to individual with Down syndrome who are seeking post-secondary, vocational or enrichment classes while spreading the word on just how cool and capable they are!! You can learn more about Ruby's Rainbow and our amazing Rockin' Recipients at www.rubysrainbow.org.
Her parents do all the talking. They control the story not Rachel. I doubt she is independent of them. This is sad because her parents look quite elderly. When they are gone what happens to Rachel?
The folks interviewing Rachel seem well-intentioned, but feel patronizing. I wish we had more of Rachel featured where she was able to explain her journey and work in her own words.
I pray 🙏🏽 that more companies understand how valuable neurodivergent & other people with so called “disabilities” can be to the workforce! We all have talents, abilities, & gifts we can bring to any setting. Especially, the workforce. They need opportunities & we need to make sure they get them. We need to accommodate them so they can shine ✨I also🙏🏽 pray that Rebecca decides to never leave Ali’s side 😇🫂😇. I see them as sisters not just best friends.
Great Job Ruby! You sang so perfectly with Kelly! This has been an experience you will never forget! I'm going to share this with our class so that our students can see you sing too!
I can totally resonate with this! My son Liam wants to go to college beginning Fall 2025 and it will not be close to us! He also wants a girlfriend so badly too!
Wishing you continued success and every happiness. God bless the DS community and their caregivers, especially the siblings who step up bigtime! ~Juli B. in Florida, USA
Each person from the community who reaches their goal makes my heart sing. Thank you for teaching us about what you do. Many blessings and more power to ALL of you!
Love you all and miss my little bro w/Down syndrome more than I can express. Be CERTAIN you make a plan for Natalie's future after you pass (many decades from now). Do not leave it to her sibling(s), especially without leaving financial funding.
Great job! You worked hard to earn this and deserve it so much! I hope you have fun and accomplish your dreams, young lady. This old cowboy in west Texas takes his hat off to you and yelled out a big "Yee-Haw!"
Congratulations Jane you are going to be a wonderful teacher!!!! I know we don't know each other but I'm still so proud of you and excited for you. Thank you Ruby's rainbows for helping Jane fulfill her dreams God bless you all
