I don't remember a lot from that summer. Anytime I hear this I think back to being 17. All these years later this performance has never left my mind... Such an iconic performance!
Robs live singing has always been lacking. His performances always sound like he’s out of breath and can’t project loudly. Maybe he’s so good on albums because he’s able to sing at a much lower volume
@@Kevn1215 You are of course entitled to your opinion tho i have to wonder why you would bother to take the time to write and post that for others to see
This will always be one of the most metal things ever. "You might be electricuted" "If they will stand in the rain, I will play" and he did, alone! Hardcore
It was a whole religion and way of life. The hyperemotionality and feeling existential and depressed. It’s quite fascinating the phenomenon that happened then. Looking back now I feel it paved the way to make seeing a shrink more mainstream. Those men and women front people in bands were so expressive they made it ok to be angry or sad or anxious. It became cool. Now everybody is doing it on self help on Instagram. But those people started it.
Still remember watching this live after school. Was so powerful with rain coming down and rest of band not playing. You could feel the passion and energy.i still can remember the house we were partying at and everyone quiet watching and just livin in the moment
I was 9 years old when I watched this live. I remember having goosebumps while he played and sang. It’s what inspired me to want to learn the guitar. And it was one of the first songs I learned. Such an amazing memory 🤘🏼🔥
Ive struggled trying to find the sound in karaoke. My voice has matured more. I may have to try again. I was successful in karaoke, now in my song list!
Where were you when Gavin risked his life for us? When watching this in 96 at 16, I acted like girls did for the Beatles or Elvis 😂 ❤ Damn I loved him. I saw the 16 Stone tour w No Doubt where they met and it was AWESOME
