Thanks for taking the extra time to make this very informative video! Great tips I will certainly use. I agree, as the homeowner i can take my time and do a quality installation using the IronRidge products.

Great video. I'll follow this process when I do mine. Just a thought, instead of pouring fresh fluid through the funnel, can you not attach a hose on the rubber side of the return line and other side submerged to the fresh jug of tranny fluid? That way the pump will be sucking fresh fluid out of the jug. Do you get what I'm saying? The pump can only suck what's in the bottom of tranny pan?

Go to the transmission plug instead it’s easy and reliable
@thekehoeshow..
@thekehoeshow.. Месяц назад
@noelrodriguez9956 that only drains about 1/3 of the fluid. This way gets the fluid in the torque converter, cooler, lines, etc. You will have 100% new fluid.

That was great information, thank you. I've got a shed that needs 750 wats of craiglist panels.

Flashing feet suck! A lot more invasive and take exponentially longer to install. There are far better options that more than make up their increased cost in their labor savings. Then of course, you also do much less potential harm to the roof

So I'm an engineering contractor nearing the end of a "vacation period" between contracts, and felt I needed to do _something_ with the remains of my time off. My new work contract starts soon and I'll be grinding away, busy as hell. So I decided to book a flight from Tampa, FL to El Paso, TX and drive out to see Carlsbad Caverns before I go back to work. The Kehoe videos helped me know what to expect. Nice to meet the family, too (you must be proud). I enjoyed the adventure vicariously.

2:10 isn't the white line the edge of the roof rafter? Do you need to move it over to the left by 3/4" to the center of the stud?
@Jiangster

Never mind, I rewatched at 1:50, the tool is calibrated to find the center of the stud! Amazing!

Not sure how many years of life that tab shingle roof has left on it, looks pretty worn. Probably would have been a candidate to re-roof before mounting the rails.

This roof was for sure a candidate to to be replaced before installing solar, I guess its a good way to make the client call you back after 2 years to remove the panels and reinstall them again, "repeat client" Lol.🤑

Dont use Henry's ever for Solar Its a consumer product M1 is a structural roofing sealant that can even bond in slightly moist environments. Have fixed Henry's related leaks far too often Henry's also gets brittle after 7-10 yrs. Horse Show of sealant on the flashing helps weep any condensed moisture, seals any deformation of the flashing. fill hole with a squeeze and leave a paddy of sealant over the hole for the lag to drag into the rafter. that's a lifetime sealed mount.

I too am in the planning stage of my setup in my den. I read you used pine. Is there a reason you didn't use poplar? Is it a potential warping issue? I'm sure you determined a benefit of Pine vs poplar or some other wood. I'm trying to have 2 lines running next to each other. How wide of a board would you suggest? What about power hookup? How many power points would you suggest on a 10' by 13' den? Did you have any power distribution issues? Thanks for whatever info you can share! Al

@thekehoeshow.. 10 лет назад
sorry for the delay in my response, life seems to always get in the way... but i used pine because it was cheap and easy. it has been up for a few years now and i havent had any issues with the pine or the mdf. as far as figuring width of board, i would just set two pieces of track next to eachother with cars on them and eyeball how far apart they should be. then add atleast a half inch from the wall on one side. and add as much to the other side as you need, if you want trees or a fenceline or cars on a road, or no extra at all. i kept my boards narrow and kept the track pretty close to the edge of the wood so the trains would be easier to see from my kids viewpoint. for power, i used the MRC 260 tech4. i just have one power point right where the supply hooks to the track, and i have 79 linear feet of single track and do not have any power dips along the route, and i even have a handful of lights on the powersupply. i am not sure how many feet it can power, but i am pretty impressed with that power supply so far. good luck and i will try and help with any other questions.
