Unfortunately PTSD condition will not get a retirement visa approved in Colombia. You might try a student, business or marriage visa as options. Do not try to get a retirement visa. It is very frustrating that they are more strict that USA visa officials in Colombia sometimes. Sorry to hear about your luck.
you are only required to have health insurance for renewals of visas currently, however the new visa rules which may come out in june or july will require special health insurance for new and returning pension applications. renewals require state health EPS INSURANCE, which is equal to 5% of your income.
well its actually much easier if you just do a fiancee visa then you dont have to deal with getting married in Colombia. Getting married here is nice for personal reasons sometimes, but its complicated. Veterans administration disability pay works as a pension in Colombia, However in 2021 they started cracking down on USA veterans with mental disability diagnosis such as PTSD, bipolar and other conditions. It is best to avoid denials and go for student, marriage, business owner visas, etc.

There's NO WAY I can get a birth certificate less than 30 days old!!!!! Let alone get NEW divorce papers... This makes it impossible! I'm having these issues now in Bogotá.
you have to order a new one from the health department if you from the USA. its hard but they issue new ones. foreign certificates are given 90 days valid. its hard but if you need help just contact James Lindzey at +57-302-337-3078.
Outsourcing is a great business, just dont keep your profits in Colombia. You will be best off billing foreign corporation(s) just enough to cover your expenses so you do not have to pay too many taxes in Colombia on your profits. It is worth it if you are outsourcing, 1) colombian companies bill just enough to cover expenses 2) parent company in usa keeps most profits 3) outsourcing technical or administrative services can be exempt from 19% taxes in many cases. outsourcing is working great for many or our clients.
