We are Vaclav, Valery, and Nico, three Prague certified guides. If you've been looking for people that will answer all of your questions about Prague, you are in the right place! On our channel, you will learn about traveling to Prague and the Czech Republic, Prague's most iconic sights as well as its hidden gems, Czech history and culture, and our job as Prague guides. Even though we've been trained professionally and love to study on our own, we are not going to bore you with dates and names that you are not going to remember. We make our videos to show you that the history of Prague and the Czech Republic CAN be entertaining (yes, you've read it correctly, "history", "Czech Republic", and "entertaining" in one sentence!) We hope you will like our videos!
PID is one of the best public transportation systems in the world. Now it's even easier. You don't even have to have valid ticket boarding trans or busses in most of them there is a terminal where you just tap your credit card and you are good to go.
If you want to have a "like a local experience" and still act and behave like a tourist at visiting, then all the problem is yours. It rather serves right also to be treated as an intruder. Personally, I hunt like a bear the honey non-touristy places but the only thing that speaks out on me as soon as I get there is the language barrier that appears occasionally. Other than that I've never had a problem so far, but trust me when in Rome, I behave always like a Roman.
Those who eat meat have no right to talk about morality and say that nazis were evil Humans are merely one of many species within the genus *Homo*, both of which are taxonomic ranks without inherent superiority. If one does not view all members of their domain, kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, or genus as equal and part of a collective "we," there is no inherent reason to adopt this perspective exclusively at the species level. Taxonomic ranks, including species, are simply labels for classification, determined by arbitrary rules established by 17th-century biologists. They lack intrinsic mystical significance. If one follows this reasoning, why limit it to the species level? The logic could be extended further, refining the inclusive circle beyond species. The issue lies in the arbitrary distinctions we make between different taxa. If we don't regard all members of a certain taxon as equal, why apply a different standard at the species level? If one believes humans hold a superior hierarchical position compared to animals, there is no logical reason to halt this hierarchy at the human level. It would logically extend further down the taxonomic system.
Getting around on the cobblestones and pavers with winter ice on would be awful. I'm in Prague now, beginning of June, it's pouring rain yesterday and today and it's slippery enough now especially going up/downhill from my room to the tram :)
Instrucsions in public transport is super ambiguous and confusing. And i would like to see statistics from other major cities in europe, on the extent of tourists getting fined there. Because it looks like czech republic have found a method to make a bussiness out of it
I got no compassion from inspectors in London, either, when going through open barriers at Greenwich and forgetting to touch in my oyster card. I find the Budapest system just as weird and user-unfriendly, having to validate tickets through a QR code outside the tram. Copenhagen has no barriers in the metro, either, and lots of inspectors. Having said that, Praguers hate their inspectors. they're often dodgy types lurking in the shadows, In the past many were former communist cops. We hate them.
Considering it was built in 1410, a time when we didn't have electricity, i gotta ask, WHY are we DESTROYING our beautiful oceans for WIND to power our electrical grid? The answer is FILTHY FIAT and CORRUPT grubbaments lining their pockets with OUR MONEY!!!
After watching this video, my wife and I booked on the Old Town, Jewish Quarter and Charles Bridge tour which was with Katerina, and was a brilliant tour. We booked in thw next day for the Prague Castle tour with Lucia which was equally as brilliant. Prague is our new favourite city, and next time we visit, we will definitely book on further tours with 100 spires. Thank you
My aunt came to Prague. Her favorite place in Prague is Palladium!!!! I hate it with all my heart. I enjoyed this video very much. But! Did you enjoy this video? Did Václav? I would have hated it.
You make me laugh, you are funny!! Nice kicks! ( do people even use that word still)? Thank you for another great, informative vlog. Have a fantastic tomorrow, bbbbyyyyeeee!
i traveled to every country in europe, and i can say with any doubts: Prague is the most overrated city in europe, rude people, overpriced, tones of drunk brits on the streets, never again! seriously just go to krakow, same architecture, much better experience
Am in Prague right now in the rain. Just spent 4 wonderful hours in the Narodni (National) Museum and had a very decent lunch in the New Building Bistro. And yes the free app is excellent, with so much information! Have come back to the hotel to recharge the phone (and myself) and now heading to .. Central Gallery or National @Trade Fair Palace.. .hmmm.. great choice :)
LOL, immediatelly on the first shots, there is a big warning at the entrance that you must purchase a ticket and validate it. Is this youngster simply not paying any attention or what?

Valeria! Thank you for the video. I always enjoy the pictures because Prague is my love and the most beautiful city in the world. I'm envious from the bottom of my heart when I see you walking there, but unfortunately I don't live there, I live in Budapest.
I think she would be a Santa Claus, ... because everyone anxiously awaits for her arrival, then she brings gifts of information, wisdom and humor in her videos, and she makes everyone happy and smile.😀🎅

I live in Vienna, its a good place, but after I lived in Prague in October-November 2023 I think a lot about moving there. Right now I can't afford it financially, so your videos are at least helping me to stay undepressive. Maybe I could at least visit it again for a couple of weeks in the coming autumn. Why is Prague so special to me? Maybe I fell in love with it dark blue river and cloudy skies? It so greatly alligns with my inner melancholy, idk...
Prague looks better than Vienna, but cost of living is crazy there and salaries are 1/3 of Austrian ones, I can't recommend it if you live in Vienna and earn their money.
Prague is beautiful, but unfortunately I don't live there, I live in Budapest. I would like to live in Prague, but never in Vienna even if I got paid for it.
There are also housesigns on some buildings built in 50s. Lot of them were "socialistic", but some of them are just animals or things. You can find them for example in Malešická street near Basilejské náměstí.
