@TasneemKashif-n3l Thank you! I would check for PRN or part time jobs. Also, in between finding a job you could possibly even job shadow, just to familiarize yourself with the workflow here. More tips are in my Tips for Finding a Job video 🙂
Giiiiiiiiirrrrŕlllllllllll i will say i definitely thought i would not have to talk as much with the patients, lol. But i still think sonography is pretty dope im trying to decide if i wanna go back to school so im doing as much research on this as possible before making a decision
I am just a little worried that while I wait to get a job I'll get rusty with scanning especially since a lot of jobs want you to scan for the interview also, I love your account I'm studying for rvt exam in the meantime and your videos have been helpful
I had a drop attack witch lasted about 5 seconds but from that time I have been lightheaded and dizzy is that a sign it mite be something wrong with vein
Your review was very helpful, I'm looking at starting a 2nd career later in life and was looking at becoming a vascular sonographer...I worked my way backwards, looked first at the certification required at the end of schooling, those prerequisites and then at which schools are accredited. Didn't know the slots are competitive..uhm..its taking me time to plan my education needs for this...
@JustListen43210 I'm glad it was helpful! I'm glad you're taking time to research things first so you know what you're getting into. Vascular sonography is a great field, so keep me posted 👍🏽
Also for my program if you’re not already you have to get your BLS/CPR certificate and it has to be AHA…$120 😅…and my school isn’t close either so gas eats up a huge chunk!!
@CleanCutToenailCare First, I would learn more about ultrasound physics and the field in general. Next, one way is to ask around ultrasound departments in your area with registered sonographers to see if they would be willing to train you so that you can study and become registered. If you have any college credits and end up going the traditional route, you can see if those can be transferred and count towards your degree.
I'm about to start in October and I'm beyond anxious about making the right decision. After being a pharmacy technician for a long time I'm ready for a career change and I just pray to God I have no regrets.
@slime-gz5kk A new start can be exciting and nerve-wracking!! I do pray that you really like it as well. Having experience in the medical field will be helpful, though. My "Is Sonography for Me?" Playlist might be helpful for you, too. 🙂
Great video! Will you make a video on what charting is like as a sonographer? Also, do you chart while doing an ultrasound or after you finish doing an ultrasound on a patient?
@@shinegirl3543 Thanks! Thanks for the video suggestion. I will see what I can do. I usually chart after I'm finished with the ultrasound for the most part.
Thank You for Your Contribution. Great suggestion about switching probes on larger patients. I've had to do that countless times in order to get the proper images. Which is one of the great things about ultrasound, there are many tools at our disposal.
@jessicakuks5802 Yes! It depends on what type of learner you are. I'm a visual learner so drawing diagrams and pictures of the information, such as for fetal position, are great for me. Focus on how you learn best! More tips are in my Study Habits Video 😃
@@TheSkilledSonographer when it comes to all the indications and the symptoms with all the possible outcomes (and tables like that) I can’t think of another way to review them. I’ll try just about every method if it keeps it in my brain haha
Since finding a sonography program is so hard to find near me. Ive decided to take a Radiography program to build my foundation and then go into sonography😊
