This gorgeous song came from her recent/new album ‘Edge of Forever’. The album is classic-anyone who ever liked her music would be crazy not to get it on Amazon or whatever. She’s in her 80s and sings/writes like a 30 year-old on the whole album. I was raised as child on her records, and still love her work, but I guess most of her core audience is dead. Well, she still rocks.

It was the first album I bought with my allowance as a seven year old, along with ELO’s single “Don’t Bring Me Down.” Jessi’s original spiritual album is a criminally neglected masterpiece. I still love it and play it, draw inspiration from it. But all of her original music has a silvery spiritual quality running through it-even her rockers and pop tunes. Poetic and searching.
