Benjamin To is a Pacific Northwest born/Little Saigon bred director, writer, and founder of BAND WITH NO NAME Films.
He hit the ground running right out of college in 2015 when his AAPI profile documentary miniseries, Life Stories, was picked up and produced by NBC News for a 20-episode run. His digital and scripted work has been featured on platforms like NBC, Los Angeles Times, HuffPost, and Snapchat. His creative journey has also taken him all over the United States, Europe, and most recently, Asia.
He is currently developing an action western pilot centered on the Chinese-American railroad worker experience, writing his first feature film about his family’s escape from the Vietnam War, and (hopefully) making his Mom proud.
Omg I've been saying her last name wrong this whole time!!!🤦♀️ I love her!!!! I'm barely watching Prodigal son because she is in it! And I got so excited to see her in 13 Reasons why. But Lane Kim is my fav!!!!! She was so cool and punk rock and sassy! The music in the floorboards and her crazy closet, her oversized luggage!!! Lmao 😂 just Golden!!!!
Here from the spot Keiko did for Vote Forward (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X7Vkzb_Dm2M.html) which actually inspired to re-register to vote, very nice.
This conversation was going to be a trip down memory lane with love for one of my favourite characters....and it gutted me. Amazing interview. Thank you for sharing. It’s informing people. Love you both!
the goal to assimilate is to join the community, is that a bad thing? In Japan , there is no assimilation process , you are either Japanese or not, it doesn't matter if a Korean family lived in Japan for 4+ generations, they not treated as 'Japanese' .
