Peace and Love Amy I don’t have a Cricut machine I have a Gemini machine and I used real leather I have a friend that a design to she give me a lot of leather so my question is can I use this same thing on the back of real leather thank you ❤ and I’m a new subscriber
That alternative hook with the ball will save my bacon. Thank you! I found my dangle earrings would kind of stick out or hang crooked even tho they were straight on the finding. Maybe less material will solve the problem. Thanks again for that suggestion!

Although I know how to cut the faux leather, why did you opt to leave that part out of your tutorial. Some viewers may need that piece of information from THIS video tutorial if they are following along with the instructions. But nonetheless, it’s a nice video of some beautiful earrings. I like your technique.
How do I get those material settings to come up? I have an Explore Air 2, maybe 3 years old, and that screen doesn't come up for me to chose the material. If I change the machine to custom, then it comes up, but I can only choose thin leather - no faux leather option comes up.
Hi, Judy! When you turn the dial to custom on your Explore Air 2, you can search for the Faux Leather (Paper Thin) setting. That’s the setting I use 100% of the time, even though the faux leather isn’t thin. I hope that helps!
I've tried 3 times to get the pieces to STAY inside the connector piece. I have foil iron on material on the inside, and the faux leather on the outside. I've wasted 2 connectors, and the 3rd piece just keeps sliding out. The part with the teeth stays put - as it's dug into the leather, but it seems the foil iron on touching foil iron on - on the inside -just slides right out- no matter how hard I pinch the two pieces. Suggestions?
I made one of these and put the snaps on today. I wanted to flatten the sides and flap, so I tried putting it in my heat press (off, of course!) it worked great except for one small thing. The snap bulged out the leather on the back! Not a problem though, because I discovered it was a great holder for my license and cards that I usually have loose in this bag that won’t fit my wallet! I will be making more, but I will do the flattening BEFORE I add the snaps!
