This is absolutely a very heartfelt sexy concert very well done. I love the softness of her voice on these songs. Great arrangements very well thought up.
I am so amazed with the success john is doing with younger musicians. The staff are all great. I hope the program will be kept in balance and not grow too fast and to much emphasis on making more money.
No doubt her trumpet playing informs her singing, and vice-versa. I bet she is also well-educated and has listened attentively to all the masters who have preceded her. Notice the discreet use of vibrato. And that slightly nasal, childlike timbre of her voice reminds me of Miles' muted trumpet. You know how Miles could hold a note and say "here, this is a note. Listen to it." -- and you're captivated. She has this quality.

Seeing the curved soprano sax is fun. Around here everyone seems to using the straight soprano sax. I think the reason is that they think it has better intonation.
