Hello Friend !!!! Here in my company's electrical workshop in Brazil we have an OMROM NX1P2 PLC. I'm using a network adapter because the notebook doesn't have an RJ 45 input, but USB. I can't find the CLP IP. My question? Does the USB/RJ 45 adapter "disrupt" IP identification? hugs and have a great week!!!!!
if you are using a USB adapter, which is different than using a PC in-built Network card if you can't find its IP address from Omron Comms utility, you can try using Wireshark software to do it, which will be similar to Omron's utility, but the advantage of Wireshark, you will be able to monitor the USB adapter network card specifically. Hi Yang, i am trying to output "RX350h" to controllogix 5000 PLC. does it output in ASCii. how do i get the characters to send to the PLC from the OCR. thanks!
You can rewrite the NX102 program, it is important to reset the password unless you knew the password and able to go online with NX102. Sysmac new PLC password encryption is much safer than C series PLCs.
I guess you want to use data link to acquire data from a PC to an NJ PLC? If that is your application, the answer is yes or no. If you have Omron Sysmac gateway or CX-compolet installed, it is okay to do it, otherwise you can’t use Ethernet/IP data link on a PC.
Hi, this vide is really helpful. I have a problem, why is the communication time between CIF11 and Inverter takes 5 second each instruction to send from PLC to Inverter, I know this because the Indicator Blinking LED on the CIF11 only blinks once every 5 seconds. Do you know why is that ?
Adding more IO units is quite straightforward, it is Unlike CJ/CS PLC, no need to set up an IO table, you just simply add them on, which is OK, For CP2E, you can add up 3 expansion units in max, and For PLC addressing, just keep counting up. For example, CP2E input starts from 0, 1, and the expansion unit starting address for inputs will be 2.00, all the way up, CP2E outputs start from 100.00 and 101.00, so the expansion unit starting address for outputs will start from 102.00. hope the above information will help you.
why when I try to set connect on MQTT.fx it says "MqttSecurityException: Not authorized to connect" ? what step I do wrong?? can someone explain it?? \
hey friend, very inspiring video. btw, how if I have 1 NX1P2 and 12 CP2E-N PLCs. all connected into 1 network, does this fins system still can be applied or it has maximum plcs that can be connected ?
It depends on which protocol you are using, Normally it is FINS UDP, and it can be set up to 16 Devices, like you said, you have 12 CP2E PLCs, so it is fine for using FINS UDP to carry out the communications. Another way is to use MQTT, but for settings, quite complicated than FINS comms.
Yes, you can definitely do the same communications, but please be aware that NX102 only port2 supports FINS protocol, so you must use Port2 from NX102 CPU, also CP1H doesn't have an in-built Ethernet port, you need to add an Ethernet option board onto CP1H, for the rest of settings will be the same as my example. let me know if you come across a hassle.
I have sucessful in enabling opc ua server from the omron nx102, but when i'm trying to connect with uaexpert client, I just got an error Discovery Find Servers on opc.tcp://[ip addres on plc]:4840 failed BadTimeout, security none and using anonymous and not using certificate from server or client
Actually it depends on NX102 settings. NX102 is OPC server, uaexpert is client, you need to create secure connections on NX102 opc ua settings, then try on uaexpert software, also need to trust Uaexpert certificate in NC102.
